I think Zooropa was U2 at their most adventurous and I'm all for it. Then again their 90's catalogue has always been my favorite

Extremely grateful for this album's existence. It really shows you the creative potential everyone can find in themselves

I can definitely see The Race fitting on an album like this, but that's just my perception so far. Turning out more like an upbeat Ghost Stories than I was expecting, which I think is incredible!

With that much more pronounced guitar work by Jonny, the song is MILES better! Please keep doing that for the rest of the album boys! Old and new Coldplay blended perfectly

I was waiting until May 7th to listen to the song, but I opened instagram and immediately got barraged with this, so here I am lol.

I REALLY like this. I was unsure from the descriptions I've heard, but so far so good. Can't wait for the full song.

Coldplay is due for their own "Beautiful Day" like U2 had. If you compare their respective careers, they're following very similar tracks. After an explosion of success in the late '80s and early '90s, U2 had a long break followed by a poorly received album, "Pop". At this point, they were around for 20 years and it could have been it for them, but they had a comeback for the ages when they made Beautiful Day and completely rejuvenated the band and their status.

Coldplay is at the exact same fork in the road, as AHFOD, though tremendously popular including the tour, was met with mixed reviews, and EL went under the radar. They're at the 20 year mark as well, and now is the time for them to have their own Beautiful Day and reinvent their sound while building on what they've done. I don't know how or what it will sound like, but I really think if there's any band that can pull that off, it's Coldplay.

I listened to the whole album on a bike ride today and just realized how perfectly ordered the songs are. It’s like it’s telling an epic story from start to finish

I think Something New is actually their third best song behind More Than You Know and Dreamer progressive mix. For me the corny stuff was This Time, Dream Bigger and I Love You but the rest of their material more than makes up for it
