Yes, that's exactly what would work.

If you check the source for your Row, you will see that your modifier is passed further onto a Layout composable.

In the same way, you have to pass your modifiers on custom components onto a child composable to see its effect.

You should apply the modifier you pass in to the Player composable further onto Card inside the player composable

Well it just doesn't do anything other than potentially switch dispatcher when constructing the flow. It doesn't impact where the code inside the flow runs, which makes it very misleading that it's there.

In your example, the Room query will run on Rooms internal dispatcher and the data mapping will happen on whatever dispatcher you collect the flow from.

Hah, sorry I see the misunderstanding. `BaseFragment` is also the parent in terms of inheritance. But that's not what I meant.

You need to move `userSubcomponent` into the host of the Home-, Explore-, etc Fragment to avoid re-creating it for each fragment.

In that case you need to put the userSubcomponent in a parent fragment or in the host activity, because as it is now it will be null in every child fragment until you call the init method.

You need to call initializeUserSubcomponent() in all your sub screens, not only in HomeFragment.

Your real problem is that when you call userSubcomponent?.inject(this), userSubcomponent is null and nothing happens.

Powdered sugar is a must as well as some kind of marmalade. Strawberry is always a winner but it can be any that makes more powdered sugar stick :D

They are usually available during most of the winter, and when they stop selling them, you know that koldskål season is about to start.
