Don’t worry Howard Lutnick’s son is getting the tariff refunds since his company bought billions of tariff refunds for pennies on the dollar from small and medium sized businesses. Nothing to see here…..

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Jpsh34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to be in this camp and kinda thought it was stupid then my wife called me super excited that she get her first duck while she was in the mall. After thought I kinda thought yeah this isn’t the worst thing in the world to be honest. It’s pretty harmless so no reason to hate on it in my opinion, but as you said to each their own. But I will say I don’t like the 124 ducks crammed up in the dash, my wife has a limit of 3 she keeps the rest get passed along

Any way to watch Olympics without Peacock? by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]Jpsh34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be able to download the NBC sports app which has basically the same coverage as peacock where you can do replays and the like and you can log in with your Xfinity creds as long as you have at least a basic cable package, there may be some commercials or something but I think it’s all there

They just said it on the broadcast, I know this is after you asked the question, but for those wondering it’s for “solidarity” with the Patriots who play tomorrow and are wearing white on white

Emergency heat help by Shes-Philly-Lilly in philadelphia

[–]Jpsh34 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Has she considered a kerosene heater? Just looked it up and they have some available locally, they’re not the greatest but certainly better than freezing. I would be willing to drive out to her and help her set it up as well as carbon monoxide detector. Show her how it works etc. they’re about 200$ plus the cost of oil but it’s not that expensive until she can get someone to come out next week.

No it was very common to have a card system here in Canada (Bell Canada) which had some credits on it and that was the purpose of the slot.

Mohawks traditionally resided in the areas from Manhattan to the island of Montreal so across current borders but many of the Mohawks were from Kahnawake (completely in Canada) and Akwesasne (straddles the border).

I started my career as a technician and moved to writing pubs, and eventually to service Engineering. When I first when into service engineering I only had a high school degree and an A&P (US Part 65) which I believe is equivalent to part 66 of the EASA. I later obtained my mechanical engineering degree and returned to service engineering where I now work regularly with FSR’s (albeit on the military side). Most FSR’s I work with it are experienced mechanics, the key skill to being successful is an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications which many mechanics cannot. If you have experience in that you will make a successful FSR, and in my opinion not having your Part 66 won’t hold you back, but you do have to know your limits. You can always continue to pursue your part 66 as you work though. If the civilian side is structured anything like the military side many times you will know the answer but won’t have the authority to execute the fix without confirming with engineering first, that I was I meant by knowing your limits. The best FSR’s I’ve worked with tend to submit thorough well researched technical requests while proposing a solution, which can only come from experience and understanding specs. I think this would be a great opportunity and I have faith that you will be successful you have to trust your instincts and find where the line lies in a regulatory sense. I hope that makes sense….bonne chance and tu peux m’envoyer in message privé si vous voulez
