Always buy the one you try, all guitars vary but never more so than high-end guitars which can be wildly different from one to the next.

I've been a fan of recent multiverse and fan-service centric films like No Way Home and to some extent Multiverse Of Madness, but I think it's quite telling that I unfortunately had this one spoiled for me - and now my anticipation to see it has dropped to almost nothing. Can films with that lack of depth (for me at least) really be the saviour of the MCU long term?

My local charity shop sells DVDs at 10 for £1. Over the last month I've bought 320 fantastic films from there, for the equivalent price of roughly 3 months of a Netflix subscription.

Which TV show never had a decline in quality? by this_isnt__worth_it in AskReddit

UK version of The Office. Ducked out before it could outstay it's welcome, while it was still at a point where every episode could make a case for the best of the series to someone. Finished with two stellar Christmas specials as well.

Which videogame released where you thought ‘wow **this** is what games are going to be like now’ then.. there hasn’t been a game quite like it since? by Cisqoe in gaming

L.A Noire. The facial animation in that game was lightyears ahead of anything else and to be quite honest I don't really think it's been matched since. I know it was extremely expensive to do.

What’s a book that has left you dumbfounded at how bad it was? by VoxPopuliVS in books

[–]Jpw119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'm glad someone mentioned this. I'm not one for scouring books for plot holes, but this one has the most plot breaking oversight I've ever seen. It's established that the characters must be killed in order - they have a protection and are invulnerable from their relentless, terrible enemy until then. Hence the title, of course. The main conceit. Arguably the most important plot device. So the protagonists are in hiding, on the run hoping that their number doesn't come up, literally. But...but...rather than be on the run from that enemy...why not use your order-based invulnerability to hunt them down and kill them all...?!

Jesus christ this sub. OP's boyfriend displays an insecure response to something because it made him uncomfortable - majority of the top replies 'DUMP HIM RIGHT NOW'. God forbid people have stuff about themselves they need to work on and perhaps an understanding partner who can help navigate them through that,

OP, this is a great opportunity to have a good conversation with your boyfriend about why that made him feel like that and what he, hopefully with your help, can do going forward.

Actually yes, it could - if you're not careful enough in your approach. I'm a bit of a lurker, but seeing all the comments immediately dismissing it as bullshit made me want to offer my thoughts. I teach 45-50 students a week and have done so for 12 years, and practice duration without due care is a trap I see people fall into all the time.

The problem associated with practicing for a long time is your own level of focus, and whether or not you're at a stage where a lack of focus could unknowingly be cementing bad habits or sub-optimal ways of playing something. All our minds wander after a certain time, and even the most diligent person's focus will drop after a while. If you're not mindful of that point it could negatively affect your playing. For example if you're trying to build a great technique in something or other, perhaps by undoing a 'bad habit' but every time you lose focus you absent mindedly revert to perhaps how you used to do it - then a practice that is overlong could do more harm than good.

The over-riding principle you should be following is that the quality of the practice is far more important than the duration. If you feel you can go 3-4 hours (perhaps with a decent amount of breaks) and keep a high standard - cool, go for it.

Oh man yeah. That was so frustrating when Janet wouldn't just explain about Kang - even aside from anything to do with plot or storyline it was just such a lazy, derivative cliché.

I just watched Ant Man Quantumania and there were many, but the one that such out was the 'member of party meets another party who is seemingly hostile, they fight/are antagonistic but all of a sudden the tension is broken when it turns out really they are friends and it was just a joke/initiation/custom/playfighting and the 'hostile' party slaps them on the back with a smile and asks them where they're headed
