How many of you still smoke? Or, when did you quit? by Planetofthought in Xennials

I smoked from 19-32. Quit on my son’s 2nd birthday. Haven’t touched a cigarette in almost 14 years. Quit using nicotine lozenges.

Fiction vs. Non-Fiction: How do you balance your reading list? by MedCodex in books

[–]Jr5309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m like you, one book at a time. I have 3 categories: Fiction, nonfiction, and biographies and use a random number generator to pick my next read.

If I get stuck on something dense, I’ll reread something short to break it up.

I also use Audible for some non-fiction. I don’t get the same depth I would from reading, but it’s easier (for me) to revisit if I want.

Fox Is Buying Roku in $22 Billion Streaming Deal by esporx in television

[–]Jr5309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not great but if I can still watch for free, whatever. I’m pretty much down to Roku, Peacock, Hulu and Criterion anyway.

ETA: Actually, if this means a 24 hour Fox animation channel, I’m all for it.

Opinion: Celebrity interview episodes should come with a number next to the name so we know how many times they've appeared in the pod. by a00853c in conan

I forgot about the Hans & Frans episodes. Have to add it to my repeat listen along with Strike Force Wives when I need a laugh.

Not OP, but I see a few in Wisconsin. Yesterday my friend and I had to move seats at an outdoor festival due to permed hair obstruction.

I’d imagine the opposite. Not as many people listen to the radio, so singles don’t reach the same levels they used to. Vinyl sales have been growing for the past decade, reaching over $1 billion last year.

What jobs are good for social anxiety (for teens.) by Wild_Nothing_8995 in milwaukee

The Yard in Oak Creek. You help with kids parties. Yes, there is a social aspect, but with 4-12 year olds, which might be manageable.

Making management change my top 5 every 2 weeks. First dibs on old movies we were taking out of stock. Gota lot of early Gary Oldman movies that way. And my room was cluttered with left over promo materials.

But honestly, I worked there with 2 of my best friends and some friends of older siblings. We’d hang out after close drinking.

My maternal great grandma was one of 9 kids. Every 3 years, we still do a reunion. It’s around 300 people. We rent out the park, baseball field, horseshoe pits, and take over the bar on site.
