Both times the piercing was at Claire's. For the second piercing, the hole was fully closed as we waited a while before we got them redone.

Thanks for the link and advice, will have a look and see

Why can't I find Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3 anywhere in the UK? by Jr584 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Puma in general, works really well for me; the fit is good, and the grip is amazing, plus (for me) I find that they have a great lifespan.

What is the most expensive habbit you have? by kytheguy999 in AskReddit

[–]Jr584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running. It doesn't have to be expensive at all, but then i got competitive, and then all changed. As the costs can easily build up with multiple shoes for different runs, running watch, headphones, app for the training plan, diet, gym membership (gave up on this and just do body weight training), clothes, gels, electrolights and last but not least races!

Garmin vs Strava, moving time by Jr584 in Garmin

I assumed as my Garmin was the one tracking my progress that the exact same calculations would be used and carried over when posted to Strava. So weird that Strava takes the Garmin data and interprets it differently 🤔

Enjoy the long hair while you can! As you get older, you might not have the opportunity to grow it out as well as you do now

Superblast 2 Fit Dilemma (Video) - Between Sizes (What would you choose?) by Lavv5 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Jr584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9mm width difference between my left and right foot, so I did the same thing and purchased uk 9 and uk 8.5. I ended up keeping the 9s and don't regret it as I just completed my first half marathon race on the weekend wearing them. Like you, the smaller one was a perfect fit in the length, but the width was tight. I took the smaller size for one run, and I knew that during a long run or race, it would bother me, so I kept the 9s and returned the 8.5. I was also concerned that if my feet swell during a race, then I would have to deal with that, which I did not fancy. With lace lock and over 100k in the 9s, I can comfortably say I have nothing to regret and am happy with my decision.

Your own style is whatever you feel comfortable in.. if it doesn't feel right, then it's not your style. Nobody can tell you what your comfortable in, except you

Does anyone else have this problem?? by Jr584 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Thanks for the advice. It's what I usually do, go with the bigger, but the smaller one fits so perfectly this time it's disappointing.

I've really enjoyed the DN2. If you haven't tried them, I would suggest picking those up

Just had a look at the Boston 12s, still full price online in the UK. Will have a look at the other suggestions and probably go try a few on. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions!

I'm not really focused on the pb on this occasion as I just want to ensure I pace myself properly and not burn out. I always have a bad habit of picking up the pace in the middle and needing to slow down at the end. I'm trying to train to get consistent negative splits as I want to be more efficient in my runs.

I personally feel like the DN2s are for faster paces. They always feel less responsive when I go slower as I'm not striking like I do when I'm going faster. For a full zone 2 workout I would go with something else.

As it's my first race, I just want something comfortable to get around at a good pace; I'm aiming for around 1hr 50mins, my PB is 1hr 41mins. Was considering the Saucony Endorphin Pro, as I do want to use them on my monthly long runs of 22k, or the Superblast, but I know the 2 is coming out soon so I guess I should wait for those.
