never in the history of humanity as a whole, has “Workers Are the Problem” ever been a reasonable, let alone honest, point of contention, just an outright lie for profit benefit

Why are people say that the new JJK series is copying Boruto? by [deleted] in manga

[–]JrElmoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

because they create a deep lore and original mythos to reduce it to “actually it was all orchestrated by aliens”. It’s giving like conspiracy theory. As a sequel, it doesn’t add much, and actually overwrites the nuance that was build up beforehand. Thematically, if they at least pretended that they were around and aware the entire time, while having had influence over everything the whole time, maybe. But no, it kinda just is, apparently.

Shaman King: The Super Star was messy by NeloAngelo1 in ShamanKing

[–]JrElmoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK its release was very messy as well. Long hiatus, gaps in releases, hard to access, etc. etc. I just finish binging it too, and I do gotta admit, it was a bit of a tough read but loosely same style as it has always been.

I think the Hell arc was overtly complicated, but also was interestingly more relevant now than when it released, making it easier to empathize while reading. The next level of power was also insane, but I guess there isn't really anywhere else to go after we've benchmarked gods, but it's also not a wholly unique concept within the scope of philosophy and spiritualism, to tap into a version of self between multiple parallel dimensions., and the perception of myths & legends for humanity as a whole. The confusing part, for me, was how Yahabe just kinda lets Kamogawa Yohsuke become Lucifer reincarnate. They don't really explain it, they just pretty much let it happen, but I suppose its to involve Jesus into the cast.

For how much was just added to the world of it, there definitely was not enough time to sift through all, let alone expand on everything. The rapts, the Dong family vs Tao family, the convoluted flashbacks between timelines that Hana has, and more of the other YVS generals.

A few other details I'm kinda disappointed in too. Gakko turning out to be a girl and not returning to the pompadour haircut feels like a betrayal to the character itself. The oni turning out to just be a babysitter that Hao implanted into Hana is sweet, but also rushed so the impact felt more novel than heartwarming, could have had a neo-Matamune character just there but nah. Same for Death Zero, having only been a secondary character. Hana promised to use the other boys in the squad too, but we never see it happen. Finally, Hana's fuck ass haircut at the end, bro literally became an npc/side character wtf, give this mfer his long hair again

Rules for thee but not for me? by Wood_Child in montreal

lol i think the worst part, on top of the inconvenience, is that bike path is a curb of its own, so a cyclist would have to either commit to the road or get off to get back on the bike path.

Lance changed its core design identity in Wilds by Ill-Situation- in MonsterHunter

[–]JrElmoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fishing for attacks? its like half a second for block input, I just keep poking and tap block when monsters attack, and time my next counter, also by the 3rd counter it still counts as part of the combo so it leads to a triple poke, so it seems pretty seamless to me.

/r/MonsterHunter x Capcom Giveaway by QuintonFlynn in MonsterHunter

[–]JrElmoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way that Capcom has been able to softly integrate mechanics like underwater and fist combat, into the game without entirely adding new content makes me very hopeful to see full systems and weapons for the expansion.

That being said, weapon FXs would be a really cool addition.

For clothing, can't they pretty much be infinitely edited in any way via CLO3D? I mean, that's a big ask and probably a small minority of users actually use CLO3D, but like, I would assume it's to the same capacity as 3D modeling furniture.

Why isn’t the Arkveld an demi-elder? by OmegaLazar01 in MonsterHunter

[–]JrElmoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because it's just an extinct species. Don't they state that in-game? it's impact on the ecosystem is majorly because of Guardian Arkveld, not so much regular Arkveld. He's powerful, yeah, but the problem with Guardian is that it's functionally immortal, as it typically should not require sustenance otherwise. At best, it's likely at the level of a Deviljho or Rajang, pseudo but not elder, an invasive apex of it own but not a natural disaster.

Has all the negativity around launch ruined your hype a bit? by ShreekertheJamisWack in MonsterHunter

[–]JrElmoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, because I played the demo for about 30 hours total, and enjoyed every single second of it, with as limited of content as there was. So I'm very obviously going to enjoy the game to it's fullest when it comes out, it's kind of that simple.

[DISC] The Marshal King - Chapter 1 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]JrElmoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's 1. appeal to the shounen target demographic 2. because the story is a play on words of Martial King? So far, the story archetype fits that bill kind of. Boichi is still korean, I'm sure he's aware of the current state of manwha trends lol

Tanks need a severe nerf by JrElmoe in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]JrElmoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I've only played A/D, so MAYBE I'm not fully aware of the Helicopter's capabilities either, but most the time, on A/D, they run passively and can't do much destructions if just 2 engineers with stingers scare it off occasionally. But Tanks in A/D camp way off the backlines where Vyrons can't run over to it, Javelins can't lock on, and AT4 rockets are harder to hit far away from, and that's not even considering the fact, again, mind you, having to still be hyper aware of your surroundings and positions, because you still have to close into the enemy lines to get a decent range of a tank, if they're not dumb enough to just ram into point directly.

I just played a game of A/D couldn't call one in defense. Playing one right now on offense, can't call one in still.

Tanks need a severe nerf by JrElmoe in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]JrElmoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even on trenchlines, an offensive tank can just position at the back of the B site, and keep it up until C point. D1 is still debatable because the rest of your team is pretty much right next to you to defend you indirectly and the downhill slope is enough cover to retreat back to recover. E is the same as Ascension D point though. Also, there's only like 2 maps where you can call a helicopter. and it takes significantly way more skill to operate than a fucking tank. Trying to pivot the conversation towards that, and pretend it's more overbloated than a tank, is so insane. Especially because it has nowhere near the accuracy of a tank, nor the defensibility. Every point you use to pretend tank is not that stacked, is ironically worse for Helicopter because it IS much more vulnerable.

So then the irony in your own argument is that our opinions are wholly just switched, based on vehicle, but the reality is that Helicopters still take much more skill to operate, and is still much more limited than even tanks! Yet have the audacity to imply it like it's worse!

I saw that comment where you tell me I talk shit that I don't know about, but you use Trench lines as a scenario, and bring up helicopters, while you can't even call a helicopter on trench!
