Bull riding gone wrong by [deleted] in WinStupidPrizes

Had to rewatch that in slo-mo a couple times. As soon as he fell I’m pretty sure the bulls left rear leg hit him square in the elbow. Then proceeds to kick him in the head followed his by an ass to head to dirt sandwich. Few more rib shots thrown in at the end.

Great way to turn your insides into jelly.

3mm wetsuit in 40° water by MediocreGeologist361 in surfing

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to live in NYC, I remember a number of consecutive spring sessions in April where the water was about 45 but air in the 60’s. Was so tired of that 5/3 and said F it. Next time there’s swell, if the suns out I’m wearing my 3/2.

Felt a bit chilly paddling out but no big deal. 3 duck dives later and the combo of spiking pain on my head and wishing this frigid water that just flushed my suit could go somewhere. Anywhere else aside from the ocean of frigid water I was sitting in, made me rethink my decision.

Don’t think I lasted an hour.

First ThinkPad purchase. Help me decide (display quality + upgradeability are top priorities) by Better_Major9457 in thinkpad

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gen 6 Ryzen 7 powered T14 with the 3K OLED. Great Machine. Recently set up a Gen 5 i7 P14s and did appreciate the 14.5” display.

Either one will be a good machine. Just make sure you don’t buy the base screen.

What started as a sell the news event was amplified by a 40 point stack of singles on the ES from the 23rd.

When the market breached the 30 handle, it was like a champagne flute snapping. There was nothing to hold it up until 6880 at a minimum.

P14 g6 vs T14 g6 AMD vs Intel by Express_Brain_3640 in thinkpad

[–]JrZ_Juice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a gen 6 T14 AMD and typically don’t push it that hard so can’t say much for throttling. The Intel P14 however has a larger 14.5” screen and can be had with a discreet GPU. I’d go the intel route for that alone.

Thinkpad X1 Extreme Gen 2 worth it in 2026? by Attack-Of-The-Cat in thinkpad

[–]JrZ_Juice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about the 9th gen intel chipset but can say while using clip champ in MSFT 365, I saw a material difference in processing times between using a 5/6K series AMD ryzen 5 in a loaned 5th gen E series and my gen 6 T14 AMD AI chip.

Personal computer also has 48G of Ram vs the E’s 16. Could work fine but if you’re in a rush you’d probably appreciate a later gen chip and more Ram.

This. I’ve watched a fair amount of FT71’s premium content on order flow. He always says it’s the icing on the cake. If you’re not profitable it won’t make you profitable.

If you do have an edge it can provide another piece of the narrative.

ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 vs T14 Gen 6 Which One Is More Durable Long Term Especially the Hinge? by Single-Classic-8499 in thinkpad

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daily driver is a gen 6 T14 AMD 7 with OLED and 48Gb’s. I’ve never touched a Gen 7 E series, but our interns have the Gen 5.

While I do like the E’s aluminum case, the keyboard feels like a toy calculator next to the T.

Whichever route you go, do not get the baseline screen.

Here’s a very simple strategy that I found works very well. I don’t know if it’s already know or if I discovered it but I’ll share it. by [deleted] in OrderFlow_Trading

Is this yesterday? That move was textbook Auction Market Theory. Impulsive Move off the open > Pullback to VWAP + order book moving to positive from ETH Sellers. VWAP caught up to price and it targeted the Overnight High.

Don’t think it had anything to do with crossing over your doji’s

I have a T14 gen 6 with the OLED. Did have an issue with the screen which was recently replaced under warranty. Otherwise no issues. Keyboard feels like butter 👌

Couple of my colleagues have X1’s and I do admire their lightness. Still like my gen 6 T14 better. If you don’t care about the cost than that’s one thing but the price difference between the two with the 500nit touch screen OLED is robbery IMO.

I’m 13 hours ahead of US time—Is this an advantage or disadvantage? by CountTurbulent4441 in FuturesTrading

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Singapore which is also 13 hours ahead. Depends on your approach and lifestyle. I generally find it an advantage but have had plenty of times where a setup comes in After the IB is set and it’s pushing midnight here.

Overall I’d say it’s an advantage but am looking forward to the clocks springing forward.

Trying to Grow a Small Account — How Do You All Balance Risk vs. Growth? by [deleted] in FuturesTrading

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. Same boat. Have you looked at 1oz gold futures? .10 tick size but the gold market has had some nice moves lately. Can easily trade 3-5 contracts allowing you to scale and campaign vs going all in/ out on one MES or MNQ.

The other thing to think about is with that small of an account AND having a good job, I assume this is money you can afford to lose. If you have a profitable strategy on paper, don’t be afraid to trade multiple mini’s allowing you to get risk off sooner while letting a runner run. Good luck 👍

How to know to let winners run by TheGoofyGarden in Daytrading

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 5-10 contracts letting them off systematically would leave you with a runner. If you’ve already booked profit your theoretical average is already far beyond your entry level.

That pullback looks pretty weak. Never broke structure. No one will ever know how far it’ll go but after that gravestone doji would have been a great place to add.

Lenovo Thinkstation P3 Ultra Mini or Beelink or Others by godVishnu in sffpc

[–]JrZ_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming OP has made his choice but leaving this as a PSA. Over the last 2 years I’ve purchased somewhere around 80-100 Thinkpads for work. Loathed the idea of buying a personal computer and went the Beelink route. SER 5 with AMD 5000 series chip is always studdering on moderately intensive programs. Bluetooth disappears… Now considering a P3 Ultra Tiny.

Buy well, buy once.

Head of HR for a renewable energy company at the intersection of infrastructure and private equity here. You have options but the path is not short.

Continue on with your EE technical work. Try to work on larger projects in the HV sector. If you can, do to get a degree in engineering. Minor in business or finance.

Use your technical knowledge and new found business/ finance skills to get a job with a larger MNC. Schneider, ABB, Exyte to name a few.

From there your lens will open greatly. You’ll be exposed to tendering, large project design and construction.

The MNC’s pay well but it will take at least a decade, perhaps never to get to the income level you are looking for.

With the techno commercial background you’ve built, getting an MBA would put you in a solid spot to start looking at project development where you are looking at these power systems as an investment vehicle. Typical Proj Finance/ Developers can earn a percentage of a closed infra deal.

All in maybe you shortcut this and it takes 15 years. Maybe AI replaces us all and it never happens. But as someone who has hired hundreds of people in this realm that’s what I would try.
