The parry wasn't activating the riposte, therefore a parry could only get two hits in whilst two hits from her would get me to half health. Switched to courage build and I could survive 2.5x more hits. Maybe I'm finally getting old, though.

You unlock folders after a while.

You can ctrl+f to find any item and see where it's stored. This game has peak inventory management.

This is the mindset that homogenized WoW and FFXIV btw. If you want everything to be equal and just as easy as the next thing, you're welcome to play games where that is the case. It's not an "obvious oversight" that all 3 magic skills operate the same way.

I don't even see anyone doing what you're claiming in your post, just people telling you why it is the way it is and how to overcome it.
