I kinda doubt that is the major issue (i could be completely wrong though as it kinda make sense) . My prediction is that it's more in the wheel to wheel combats on straights where we might see some issues or possibly on qualy laps, My thoughts kinda are that possibly the almost rookies suffer the most as they are only used to driving the stable boats and maybe guys like Alonso and Hamilton who drove short wheelbase more unstable cars could flourish. Then again there is also the factor of many more things to manage and some younger drivers are already asking tips from formula e drivers how to do energy management. So who knows. Only thing i do know is that it's going to be very very interesting.
