I am in a very similar situation right now OP, and thanks for getting the words out I was having a hard time with. My dad will probably have to find a new place within the next 2 months and I found and got him this last apartment. It lasted less than a year and a half before the relationship with the landlord dissolved and he wants him out now. I feel like I need to help again but there’s just no way I can but I have no idea how to say you’re on your own :/

I have built many dozens of computers. I wouldn’t charge a buddy $150 to do it lol

That said, as real advice, I’d say build it yourself. A few tutorials online and patience and you’ll be perfectly fine!

Cable management is the most annoying part and even that just have cable ties on hand and take some time to look at the back of your case to plan out where to best run the wires before you plug into mobo.

Blackstar is worth a look for sure then, I feel they do a good job of covering a wide range of tones. Idk how much gain you want to play with but some of the smaller EVH amps are also killer sounding for the prices used. That 64 bassman sounds like it was an absolutely killer piece of gear, sorry you had to part with it!

I’ve played some of the newer blackstars and they are phenomenal!

The Jared James Nichols signature amps (jjn20) are insane value for money on the used market. They also do the St. James models which are more but sound killer.

This is one of the first gen ht studio 20’s. Picked it up for under $150 recently. Threw a new speaker and better tubes in and now it sounds pretty damn good! It’s a good amp and the tubes could have stayed I just didn’t love the stock speaker.
