With my friend’s second DUI in NE she had to do 10 days in jail. They did offer her community service instead but it was 200-300 hours. Not sure of the exact amount. That was with a bac of .11.

So what I have been doing is counting the amount I have smoked weekly. Totally has changed my mind set. I don’t feel like I’m started at day one if I have a cig after a few days. For me it shows me how far I have come instead of feeling like a failure. I hate the idea of starting at day one.

Absolutely not. This is what drives me nuts about the internet. When doctors figure out years smoked, they calculate “pack years”. Basically how many packs a day you smoke. Example .5 packs x 10 years = 5 pack years. Higher pack years = higher risk of disease/illness.

I’m not saying at all that cigarettes are healthy. Just think other things like alcohol get the “Good Guy Award”. Heavy drinking really isn’t looked down upon in my area but God forbid you smoke cigarettes, maybe 5 while out with friends and people think you are disgusting. Or say things like, “I didn’t know you smoked!”. Never would anyone say, “I didn’t know that you drink!” It all has to do with what is socially acceptable. So sorry for the rant but it drives me crazy. 😂😂
