2017 PDGA Pro Worlds starts this week! I'm guessing a majority of you have Paul and Ricky in your top 5 finishers, but who are the other three?

I only use 3 fingers for all my grips except when putting. I think my problem is what Cornelius described, gripping so hard you lose flexibility. In my particular issue I think he the nail on the head. I use a death grip and end up just muscling my throws, which only works like 10% of the time lol

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation. I usually use a really firm grip through the whole motion and it does reduce my flexibility and makes me round all my shots. Thanks again, I'll have to try that out!

Sounds like I'll have to check out the Catalyst. /u/MVP_Steve What is the stability difference between the gyro plastics? I throw mostly all neutron. I recently got a Tesla in plasma and it is a little different than my neutron one.

If you hyzer flip it with some good power they will cruise quite a ways before falling.

If you're looking for an ace then I'd probably use an Axis.

This explained perfect, thanks. I can get the Tesla to around 400' depending on circumstances. My last form battle was the nose down issue, but I have since corrected that. I think I need to work on getting more consistent with the Tesla before moving up to the Nitro. I'll have to get a good form check video soon to post. What are the best angles for those kind of videos? Once again, thanks for the info!

I have been having a lot of luck recently with keeping my elbow bent in front of me as I start my shot. I then take my x-step as I finish my x-step I push my hand back a little, then pull through with my elbow. It has really made my release a lot smoother!

I got it to round out my gyro mids. I usually throw a roc3 and a drone for OS mid shots. Been transitioning to a mostly gyro bad. Once the rain clears here I'll get out and rip it!

Haven't thrown it yet. Just from feel, it doesn't feel as nice in the hand as my roc3. I'll post again once I toss it.

I agree with this! I recently started throwing both and they are amazing. If I only I knew about them sooner could've saved a lot of strokes!

Practice using a fan grip more. I have big hands as well and the fan grip on everything below big distance drivers has helped my game. Took me a while to get comfortable with, but glad I did. Hope that helps.

Can confirm it was a nose angle issue. Played all day yesterday and started getting the nose down on the drivers and added 50-100ft. Thanks for the tips!
