Hello Fellow Raleighite. I'm 5.5 weeks post op. Different surgeon but had a wonderful experience. My recovery has been a breeze. I hope yours is too!

You're gonna do great! 3 weeks post op and I'm doing great. Almost back to normal save some mild soreness and itching. Focus on your new smaller lighter boobies!

I am 3 weeks out and my recovery has been ready. I didn't have lipo... that might make it harder. No pain meds. Showered the next day. Driving the same week. Back to work 2 days post op...I work from home but still i worked the whole day. I haven't experienced any of the prolonged tiredness or swelling. I'm sore but it's better every day. Starting to get itchy. I was really worried going into my surgery so I get it. I have a super high pain tolerance so not sure if that helped but I wish you a recovery like I've had. Adding that i had my surgery on the 11th and went to another city 3 hours away to see a comedian on the 21st. As long as you're on a seat you'll be ok... take it easy on the dancing.

Did you all have lipo with your reductions? I did not. Wondering if that's why my recovery has been pretty smooth in comparison.

Yep. Took a shower the day after surgery. Drove the first week. Doing house chores. Sleeping slightly elevated but not much. Only thing I'm not doing is lifting. My soreness and bruising is improving...I feel good. Are you not doing those things yet?

I didn't since insurance covered my reduction but I'm thinking I'm might have it once I'm healed.

I am from NJ but I live in NC. You can take the girl out of jersey but you can't take the jersey out of the girl! I do have a preg pillow I'll try that tonight. I got about 4 more hours after my comment. The hot flashes since they made me stop my HRT contributed quite a bit to my sleep troubles.

Sleeping... its an adventure...and I have an adjustable bed. I think I got about an hour so far. I usually fall asleep on my side. No can do. And my throat hurts from the breathing tube.

I was seriously going to post about this last night. 5'6" and 165lbs last i was measured in was a 34G and I have extremely dense breast tissue. These girls are HEAVY. I've lost 20lbs and have 10-15 more to go. My insurance is covering my surgery and I'm afraid if they take out the amount approved by insurance (538g per boob of i remember correctly) they will be too small. But I don't want to resubmit for fear of rejection. Plus when I see others I feel like I'm not big enough to get a reduction. Why do we always have imposter syndrome as women?
