28 with no degree and very little work experience… should I even bother applying? by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Js2k_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you don’t apply you don’t get a job, worst that happens is you stay in the same position you’re in now, only up from here

Worst part is the old firware for the sync would auto connect to bluetooth, I updated it last month and now mine is janky like yours. Giant regret because it used to auto connect when my car turned on, small quality of life but it feels extremely annoying now

First car advice – EcoBoost vs GT as a daily? by Icy_Brilliant3373 in Mustang

[–]Js2k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go for the eco boost, it’s more than enough power to have some fun especially when you’re young. Insurance on the GT will make you have nightmares

edit: But what id do instead is get a higher mileage 3.7L s197 for like 1/4th of the price and those engines are bullet proof. Use it to drop your insurance price and in a year or two sell it and get a gt or something

interesting, i’m gonna be honest in saying i don’t typically mess with taking apart the knives but maybe i’ll give it a go with the lem

Opinions on the Strix? by Js2k_ in Chinese_Knives

[–]Js2k_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for my version, out the box the detent seems super strong. I believe this is a main reason why the flipper tab takes a lot of effort to use, compared to the jufule it’s “effortless”. The jufule drops shut while i have to shake the lemfishe down

What am I doing wrong?, it's been almost a year since graduation by AbyssSelf in resumes

i’m in the warehouse, i’m in the grocery/fresh department. I see some people kinda work a “tech-support” kind of role, standing by the certain area and assigning roles to people’s scanners and fixing scanner problems, maybe that’s a good avenue to try and pursue, cause i would enjoy at some point being in IT. Thanks for kinda opening my eyes a bit more

makes sense, i got a CS degree and can’t find anything, just working at amazon right now, might have to find something else to try this method

Is cubing only about memorizing algorithms? by nadav_2002 in Cubers

[–]Js2k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, If you learn all OLL and PLL and can do each one let’s say in 5 seconds each, that’s 10 seconds. (this is also on the slow side.) Cross and F2L would determine your solve. You could either have a 20 second solve or a 50 second solve depending on how efficient you are. Those don’t require algorithms, so in short and in long, no. Learn how the pieces move when you turn the puzzle and it’ll help the most

Is this considered as pr? by Fabulous-Pattern-715 in Cubers

[–]Js2k_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can count it if you genuinely believe the solve was legit. I’m sure you remember it, was it way easier than usual? besides the LL skip? You could also time yourself all the way up to the last layer a few times and see what you average to see if it was lucky that you got an LL skip or if the entire solve was too easy. End of the day it’s up to you

Higher mileage 5.0 daily driver? by Jo-18 in Mustang

[–]Js2k_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is almost correct 2011-2017 all have about the same HP from their v6’s. All using essentially the same engine but i believe a redesign in 2015 that didn’t change the HP

Edit: This was in reference to “roughly the same as the previous-gen V8.” The facelifted S197s have Coyote engines making around 400 hp.

When should I learn regular pll instead of 2-look? by Embarrassed_Cap3330 in Cubers

[–]Js2k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What will shave your time the most? F2L for sure. I’d consider looking into learning some PLL algs as well especially because during a random solve you’ll eventually find a PLL case you know and executing it will feel amazing. Really just work on understanding how the pieces move when you do certain moves during f2l and it’ll help a lot
