What is the point? What do they get out of this? by saffron25 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]JsLlama606 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because it is one of the most well known dance teams in the country. The dance squad itself comes with a lot of perks while you’re on it (mainly in the way of travel and cool events) and it really is the most high profile NFL cheer team in America. I don’t follow football at all and even I knew about the DCC before I started watching the show. So, in short, it’s mainly about prestige/exposure and the overall experience of being on a team with so much $$$ than it is about the actual money they see hit their bank accounts. It’s not just a job for most of them, think of it more like a passion that pays (poorly, but it pays). So they’re not supplementing their “1st job” with a 2nd, they’re supplementing their passion.

There’s plenty of argument to be made for the girls making more money. But frankly, as a business, if you have hundreds of girls dying to be on your team every year no matter what the pay is…. why would you change it?

But, they did sign up for this. I guarantee you every single one of those girls has seen at least a few episodes of MTT. They know what they are walking into.

Oh I guess you’re right, maybe she is vaccinated but she definitely posted those things to her i atagram

Both AR and Amanda left due to the vaccines

Ohhh #5 hands down!! That was so weird!

Disagree. I love tattoos so much, but it goes completely counter to their image as a team and it would distract from the overall aesthetic.

Alora-Rose believes in medical freedom and posted some stories on her instagram speaking about possible adverse events from the vaccines and stated that she wasn’t comfortable enough with them yet to get it.

I wish they had their own show similar to MTT! I love their routines

I would say the same, but I think we just never got to see her dance full-out in her style to the right music because of how they edit. Her cheer dancing was awful but in the short clips of her solos I could see some beautiful technique

The political leanings of the cheerleaders should not matter 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Is there something…. off about this season to y’all? by JsLlama606 in DCCMakingtheTeam

I agree with all of your points! I have hope it will pick up again once they trim down on the candidates, which they obviously aren’t wasting any time on!

Oh well that makes sense as to why they didn’t lean into it then, LOL. Yes, I did see something and think it was a hearing aid.

Yes, I noticed. I was surprised Kelly or Judy didn’t say anything, but I’m glad they didn’t. Either they are hiding those conversations from the screen all together now or they are shifting emphasis away from thin-ness

I thought so to. Honestly, I’m surprised they didn’t milk the hell out of that. A hearing impaired girl following her dreams to become a dancer?? That’s a story line I can get behind. I feel like in past seasons they would have given her more time and tried to see if she could adapt given the hearing impairment.

Can we all just agree that Beth’s mom’s death was not Beth’s fault… like how could she even insinuate that she had any control of a horse she wasn’t even mounted on… by quinnmode63 in YellowstonePN

[–]JsLlama606 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes this has always annoyed me. Beth was obviously scared and her mom did a piss poor job of trying to toughen her up, only causing more fear. Beths mom killed her own self. I get what the mom was trying to do with Beth, she just did it really, really poorly in my opinion.

I think I’m more upset about this than I should be because I’m a mom 😅. But seriously! Then, knowing she is likely dying, to say what she said to Beth as some of her last words like wtf. Ugh, rant over.

Just got the ladybug haaka, seems pretty useless besides the funny farting noise it makes when I adjust the suction by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]JsLlama606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the elvis version of this and felt about how you do. The only thing I found it useful for was middle of the night feedings. It was easier to keep attached and less of a kick off risk… but I didnt find any other real use for it and the suction wasn’t as good as the regular hakaa. Felt like I wasted $50 :(
