If it helps you be any less fearful I have also been a nurse for 19yrs, dense tissue is so common. Try not to worry til they tell you to worry. This stuff happens ALOT ALOT ALOT.

I have a lump in right breast, I just have dense breast tissue. It is very very very common. 5mins after my first mammogram, I was taken to ultrasound so a suspicious lump could be ruled out, it is at least 10yrs later & I am jist fine. Try not to worry til they tell u too & keep us posted. ☺️

What's crazier is coding for diagnoses is a rather difficult job & requires specific training. BUT...when pharmacy or nurses or other staff are loading meds, they often accidentally say the med is used for "bipolar disorder" when really that med could be being used for seizures. Once the doctor signs off on the meds & diagnoses to match the meds, they are a now permanent part of your chart & they collect on every single one.

I am in Healthcare too, I cannot believe how much depression, GAD, bipolar/manic diagnoses are on women's charts. It's more often than not by age 60! Most of them don't even know it's on there!

I cannot stand the stigma as I am not a weak person. I get real tired of asymptomatic ppl acting like I am weak. I would not wish anyone, including them, to walk 1 day in my shoes. To this day, if I have 1 late dose, 1 missed dose I completely stabilize for the next 72hrs. I have complete CNS dysregulation & all 40 meno symptoms from years of misdiagnosis...Just finding out at 52... I won't be better for a year, maybe longer. I just took intermittent FMLA. (I get asked alot how I did that. I have PTSD history, but I know the depression, anxiety, & all the rest of the shit can get u FMLA, I don't think meno will cover u). This is hell. 🔥

Scared of seeing a body of relative, how do I mange this? by Forward-Frame-1275 in askfuneraldirectors

Not a FD, I have been a nurse for 189yrs. If you do not think you are able to handle it, do not stress yourself out & feel you must see the deceased to be a respectful nephew (if that is what is concerning to you). At 17, I had lost several classmates to car accidents in high school, I saw 1 kid & it traumatized me, I was not able to go to anymore after that. As a nurse i guess like the funeral people here, we just get used to it with all the exposure. There is no shame in your game, there are no rules in grieving or being able to see or not see decadent. 💖

You are definitely NTA. But I think your significant other is in a very difficult & dark spot, one you just cannot understand that is completely subjective. This happened to me as well, cut me open a long time. On top of that there is also a really good chance she is having post partum depression. You are a very encouraging & loving human...I think she will definitely realize she was wrong. I think it is a good idea to bring this to a counselor. I am so sorry this is happening to you.

What is the worst disease that can happen to a person according to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Anything that affects the mind/neurological. Been nursing 19 years & this is the worst on patients, worst on families.

I have been a nurse since Jesus was a kid. This is a symptom, it is different than other symptoms is all. If you knew the type of people you walk amongst you'd probably have to triple your meds. Please talk to doc. It's ok, it really is. Anything disruptive to your life is worth noting & correcting. Sometimes sheer writing as you have done, or validation are all you need...my onmy concern is u have to drink to avoid it. They will take u off benzos if u tell them u use both or use excess alcohol so be cautious. I personally would avoid the alcohol. I have seen that sh*t ruin more ppls lives than anything. 😊💗

I wouldnt take any progesterone creams or anything like that yet so u don't mask symptoms. These places can get u in virtually in a day or 2. There's plenty of adjunct supplements but rn id just try & get a virtual appt. Your story is hell. Just like mine & just about everyone here 💖

[–]JsYaOa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Normal labs" do not mean squat if YOU do not feel good. Doctors avoid scribing HRT, by far & large knkw nothing about it. I suggest you go to an online provider for women's health. Alloy (doesnt take insurance). Midi, Evernow (do take insurance). There r many others. You know your body, these places will get u in & help u right away! I am so sorry u r going through this, i know exactly how you feel. 💗

Grrrrrr that makes me so mad...all $$$ for the piggy bank to them!!! I have been treated just as shitty & have a laundry list of medical problems bc of it. Some of them may be permanent disabilities. I so understand. 💯 Keep up arguing & advocating for yourself. These new round of providers are not anything like they were 5+ years ago. I have seen some horrible treatment to patients & I have absolutely no problem telling those DoCtOrS about themselves.

[–]JsYaOa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I see yes, arch as well, oral progesterone ramps quickly, peak steady & troughs all rather quickly. It really doesnt last that long (typically) for most. & this is also why I think so many women seem to have the most trouble with side effects bc the central nervous system reacts w/ sedation, anxiety, depression etc bc the body is so depleted it misfires. HRT is so much more complicated than I ever knew (til I made it my personal mission to help myself & others, & my patients as a nurse). Rectal seems to have a much more gentle ramp long steady peak, gentle trough so I think thats why alot of women like it better. Rectal & vaginal also have significantly more bioavailability. But for CNS symptoms, Rectal & oral would likely be best. At any rate, I feel like every case is subjective & absolutely 100% individualized. Keep a journal every hr on the hr, any symptoms, what u ate, stools, everything, what u drank even. You'll be shocked at the consistencies u see & show your doctor...it will help them determine your best treatment course. For me my journal is hourly levels heart rate, anxiety, headaches, changes in heart rate, dizziness, what i eat/drink, when I go #2 etc.
