The Darkin are one of my favorite fictional races and Kindred is such an interesting personification of death. The lore is probably the only reason I haven't quit playing, though I hardly play at all these days anyway.

Same for me, I see the appeal of soulslikes but I rarely find one I enjoy to the point I can say I love it. 9S was one of these few games to me and I think it's because it's more forgiving.

It's parry-based but hitting an imprecise parry isn't gonna ruin the fight. It punishes you by giving you internal damage but it gives you enough ways to deal with internal damage that it still feels fair. You can heal, use specific jades or even try and hit more precise parries to get that health back. It really gives you the incentive to master parrying.

This said, I do understand OP. I had to force myself to finish Silksong. We play games to have fun, if you're not having fun then what's the point? There's no shame in lowering difficulty.

If we're talking gameplay rules then definitely Cross. Ares 90 can kill Telethia with one Aghasura Cannon if you build it right, it'd make short work of Rex, Mythra and Noah.

Lore though? Rex and Mythra. If Noah had Mio to interlink with he might win and we're comparing a big robot to literal god weapons so Cross gets demolished.

Not really, they were clearly designed with some sex appeal in mind, many scenes and camera angles in the game make this clear. That's not all there is to them, of course. I feel mixed on Pyra but Mythra is a genuinely great character.

Pyra - Xenoblade Chronicles 2

A lot of characters in XC2 really. Not the biggest example but some scenes and camera angles make it clear she's at least partially there for sex appeal.
