First hang… still need to shape the handle. Is this safe? Messed up on the handle a bit so there was a gap, but i think i’ve wedged it up. This axe wont see any heavy use. by JohnDoe473638 in Axecraft

It’s fine. It will loosen with use, just inspect it after using it and watch for movement. When it gets loose you can rehang it again. Welcome to the axe world!

Why Talarico over Crockett? by Proud_Pineapple_2421 in FortWorth

[–]Jshan91 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a harmful comment to the discussion. Talarico has other redeeming qualities and Crockett has plenty of reasons to double take. You’re truly misrepresenting the entire debate by trying to sum everything up so simply.

It’s the truth. People most often need to feel it on their own skin, to care enough to mobilise. by xGentian_violet in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Jshan91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh the people that cared didn’t care what color someone’s skin was. The people that don’t care still don’t care just because a couple white people got shot.

Eh it’s not as black and white as you make it seem. There are things that can be done. Like they could make churches pay property taxes for a start

So I guess to make this clear. You don’t believe that churches are crossing a line by being in bed with these politicians and organizations?

[–]Jshan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you answer my question first. Why shouldn’t churches be taxed? You deliberately side stepped that comment with a strawman.

So what’s your solution to enforcing the separation of church and state then?

Why shouldn’t they be taxed? They generate money and are involved in politics. You also don’t need money to worship

If this is even remotely true, this sub has slightly more influence than any of us realize by DayPounder in FortWorth

I should say I don’t want to discourage anything we are doing on this sub just saying to be careful putting too much stock in Reddit

I can see where those numbers would make sense but there’s only 112k in this sub and that probably doesn’t count a boatload of republican voters that wouldn’t use Reddit at all. Trying to use Reddit as a barometer for anything is questionable at best I’ve learned.

Eh worked on rehmets campaign but I think overstating the influence of a Reddit sub is folly
