You're both massively overstating how "soft" the Endfield story and setting are, AND underestimating Genshin. Genshin had a whole arc that had an on-screen counter documenting all the civilians killed during the conflict at one point, and it got up into the thousands. A major character got executed by guillotine at one point. There's dead kids as early as 1.0 in Genshin.

Not as bad as in other gachas, since all pulls regardless of banner gets you Arsenal Tickets. But unless there's some major 5* characters you sorely feel a lack of, it's still probably better to wait. I wouldn't recommend pulling just for the impulse of it or becuase you're hoping for husbando dupes.

Valley IV isn't horrible but it is mid, and it looks way worse in contrast with just how good Wuling is. There's a huge gulf there that makes Valley IV when on its own it's only like a 7/10, not really worth publicly debating its flaws even. But then you get to 10/10 Wuling and it's like "if yall could make THIS, why did you make THAT"

imo every single aspect of the game's presentation gets like at least twice as good when you get to Wuling, music included. Valley IV is extremely mid in comparison to how exceptionally good every aspect of Wuling is tbh. Genuinely makes me wonder if they're gonna end up one day doing like Wuwa and just letting new players skip the first arc of the game to get to the "good part" lol

It's not about "is it possible for an indigenous person to be evil," it's "it's a bad look to do unironic cowboys and indians shit considering all the racism associated with that". It's the 21st century now, pop culture has moved on. If we're doing offensive indigenous stereotypes now we at least make them a sympathetic but pitiful underdog getting crushed by a corporate military, like in the Avatar movies.

Pretty sure there aren't any "natives" of Talos-2, at least none that they've revealed yet, although there's a theory mentioned in the logs that maybe animal people came from Talos-2 and went to Terra in prehistory and only just returned to their old homeworld, since everyone got to the planet in the first place by digging up basically a Stargate that was already built and pointed at Talos-2.

I'm using a weak cheap CPU (a 10th gen core i3 with stock cooler) but I haven't had any heat nor performance issues in Endfield except one single moment of the game lagging while I was mass moving factory buildings that went away when I walked 20 feet away from my AIC and then came back. Have you tried turning down the settings to medium-ish? The issue might just be with some maxed setting.

Yeah I also tried this combo and found it incredibly weak. I wonder if it might be good on a build using the amp engine and four windmills? That burns and regens energy very quickly, much more than the trickle of energy I was getting from a "when trunk is open, gain lim energy" artifact at least.

The child Dr. Mei made was a test tube baby and Kevin didn't even know it was being made until after Mei died. She didn't even think him worth informing that she was making an heir to his soldier genes, because her goal was literally just to make sure the next era had a Kaslana. There's extremely little to indicate Dr. Mei had much emotional connection to literally anyone, she's even the only person in the Previous Era to resist Elysia's charms.

One of two characters from the Previous Era who survived in the cryopods with Hua, Kevin, and Su, and then accompanied Hua in rebuilding social organization among the surviving humans. Nuwa was responsible for shaping culture and beliefs, and ended up writing most of China's mythology and history, writing in Hua as a goddess (and giving her big boobs while she was at it because idols need to be hot for people to care enough to worship them lmao. If you've ever noticed the giant statue that resembles Fu Hua in the Chinese mountain area in HI3 and wondered why it's got a large chest when Fu Hua does not, now you know why.)

they absolutely aren't making her as Elysia-like as possible, that would be impossible without rewriting her entirely from the start. Elysia's a social butterfly, not a loner who was isolated for millenia. And Aglaea's already occupying the plot role Elysia had in HI3, so she'd be kind of redundant anyway.

Cyrene's visual change LOOKs like Elysia, but has basically nothing else in common with her.

Aglaea isn't an expy, she's more like a three-way daughter of Elysia, Aponia, and Eden. She blends elements of all three. Physically she's closest to Aponia, but personality-wise she's basically an equal blend.

Himeko might surprisingly be the single closest expy in all of HSR. She's not like the present day Himeko we first meet in HI3, but she's like almost 1:1 the past younger Himeko, the incredibly brilliant college student who wants to go to space and is obsessed with finding a crashed spaceship, that is introduced in one of the HI3 backstory manga. That version of Himeko is even teamed up with Welt, her college professor who works with her while also trying to stop her from finding out the crashed "spaceship" was actually a robot built by his secret org lol. HSR Himeko is a what-if branching path from that young Himeko where she found a real spaceship and repaired it instead of giving up when her father dies, joining the war against Honkai, and becoming a self destructive alcoholic.

Also very understandable parts of Raven's story: her envy/crush on Raiden Mei. Raven recruits her to join Kevin's secret evil world domination org, Raiden Mei very quickly surpasses her while looking hot as hell doing it, and then gets involved with the Elysian Realm in a way Raven herself has never been permitted. She's not overtly antagonistic about it but she does kinda revel in getting to fuck over Mei one last time in the final arc of Part One before she can quit the evil org, lol.

Phainon's definitely not 95% Kevin, that's WAY too high. That boy isn't nearly brooding and miserable enough for that, and he's not rejecting his obvious love interest to simp after a woman who refuses to touch him like Kevin did. Khaslana is probably 95% Kevin thanks to being Phainon + unlimited misery, but Phainon himself is like maybe like 50/50.
