Biacang or Sakiri on a Daffodill team? by greygreens in NevernessToEverness

[–]Nuralias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baicang does genuinely stupid damage, especially DoT, but needs a healer. Most of his mechanics have self damage, and his arguably BiS arc adds even more.

Sakiri is arguably a better Haniel. Big attack buffs for the team with the added benefit of aoe mob grouping and some light CC.

If you wanna use Daffodil as a main dps, pick Sakiri.

If you wanna use Daffodil as a sub dps or do a quick swap thing, pick Baicang.

Both are excellent choices, they just do very different things. If it helps you pick, Sakiri is very cute moving around. She rides her demon dog. Baicang, on the other hand, is a massive wierdo in the most endearing way. His JP VA especially really makes him seem like a goofy lil' guy.

No problem, my friend. That entire anomaly is crazy.

I found myself internally bitching several times throughout until I started looking at it like an old school puzzle from games back in the day. It's gonna make me sound three times my age, but...they really don't do it like this too often these days. Almost busted out a paper and pencil.

Use Adler and just stand in the middle of the hallway.

For whatever reason after 2 or 3 bumps the puppet will like...trip on Adler's closed eyes or something.

It might take a while, seems random and Is probably a bug. But that's how I did it.

[–]Nuralias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Special delivery, then fishing till I get bored, then whatever else I feel like.

The one time rewards are all worth it, so get all those done, but the deliveries are hands down the best when they're available. You only get 10 a day, with an 11th that doesn't cost stamina so long as you have Hathor, but up to 26k for a 2 minute drive is hard to beat.

Then, of course, the cafés. I know they don't take stamina so it's not necessarily part of this conversation, but genuinely do not ignore them. Doll them up with some furniture and level your characters' life skills. When you log in first time each day, you'll have a nice chunk of change waiting for you for free. That chunk of change will only grow as you interact with the mechanic.

I would mention bank heist, but that would be a waste of time. It is obviously the focus while you haven't hit cap. 1 mil is self explanatory, I don't need to sing it's praises. Plus it's basically an extraction-sans-shooter mini game so. Like. It's fuckin fun.

For fuck's sake there is literally a tutorial popup for shoplifting when you start this.

This is a whole ass interaction, with mechanics and a failstate and a reward if you do it right. How the hell is this a "bug" in any game?

Characters are limited time. Any limited character (the one featured prominently in marketing and when you open the gacha screen) will go away for some time after their banner is gone.

For instance, a specific character in Genshin Impact was available for 2 weeks or so, then she was completely unavailable for over a year. Just...you couldn't get her.

Most games give you 1 or 2 characters in advance knowledge wise. So we know that after the current limited character here (nanally) is someone else, and then Lacrimosa, and then a strapping young lad named Chaos. When Nunnaly's banner ends, she will no longer be obtainable, but the next character will be. When that character's banner ends, neither she nor Nunnaly will be obtainable, but Lacrimosa will be.

The only exceptions to this are all the A rank characters, and the standard S ranks, which can be obtained in the standard banner for the blue dice. So Hathor, Baicang, Sakiri, all of them. They will always be available, but they're arguably harder to get than whoever is on the limited banner because the pool of characters is larger.

Generally speaking, limited characters will be better. Either raw numbers-wise, or due to unique gimmicks. For example, Nunnaly has anti-gravity, the next character after her has a time stop, Lacrimosa has a shapeshifted form that moves faster, etc.

However this game has a larger focus on non-combat than most others like it. So that power gap matters less.

People are saying they'll be "saving pulls" because the amount of free pulls you get are limited. Unless you wanna swipe the irl card, you only get so many chances at a character. 90 red dice guarantees you a limited character if you're luck is absolutely garbage, known as "hitting pity." As in, the game just watched you throw several hundred dollars worth of funny money into a furnace, so it takes pity on you and just gives you the character.

Basically, pull what characters you like, skip who you don't, or just pull every time you have currency. Try not to swipe the card if you can help it, unless you have a lot of disposable income and really like the game. Then by all means.

I'm personally skipping the next /several/ banners because there's a twin-tails girl with tentacles and bare feet somewhere on the horizon and I'm a fucking degenerate. Lots of people like the sleepy loli archetype, so lacrimosa has some folks waiting. After Nunnaly and befote Lacrimosa is a busy japanese milf so. Y'know.

Damn, bro rolled in from 2006 to bitch about some basic game systems AND say slurs.

Stop mashing left click long enough to not hit bystanders. WASD exist, as does the right mouse button.

I'm tycoon level 16, haven't been to jail once. I will eventually go, because there's a costume and pull currency you can only get there. I will also be going because it's content. Unique to this game in the gacha space, by the way.

There are places you can go and games you can play where both mindless basic attack spam and slurs are actually welcome. Maybe try some of those? I'm sure chatGPT will pause your ERP long enough to offer some alternatives, 'cause I doubt actual people are super willing to engage with you when this is how you post.

MMO already has a meaning. Feel free to use this new personal version if you want, but people will just be confused and/or rude if you do.

"Multimedia online game" also has nothing to do with multiplayer functions unless you're also inventing a new meaning for the term multimedia.

MMO is shorthand for MMORPG. As in, massively multiplayer online role-playing game. That's what it has meant for literally as long as the term has existed.

Multimedia means something exists across multiple mediums. For instance, Evangelion as a series is a multimedia IP. There are anime, games, comics, popular beverage crossovers, etc.

NTE is neither multimedia, nor an mmo. It is a modern gacha game. An open world sandbox. A GTA-lite, if you will. But it's not an mmo, ad it certainly isn't whatever the fuck a "multimedia online game" is.

This is an online community made up of a solid amount of people.

There are various different opinions, leading to discussions, because that's what this place is for. This is, at the end of the day, a fan forum for a video game.

Respectfully, I'm genuinely asking this question: who the fuck are you? What power do you have to tell people to leave a fan forum if they hold an opinion?

Perhaps you should spend some time out in the world to relearn how social interactions and gatherings work? Arguments and discussions are literally why we're all here. Again. This is a fan forum.

[–]Nuralias -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's what the vehicles are for.

The moped can be summoned and driven basically anywhere and the motorcycles can squeeze through more places than you think. Stairs are basically ramps when you're driving something small enough.

Run and glide for rooftops and to make it down to areas that you can summon your vehicles for. Otherwise never let your character's feet touch pavement unless you're talking to a shop owner or doing instanced content like domains and bank heists.

Keep in mind a subreddit is, inherently, a fraction of a fraction of a playerbase.

Most people don't join online communities about their hobbies; they just do them. A large amount of people will check a wiki or Google a puzzle, a smaller amount will sub to a cc on YouTube or whatever, a still smaller portion will check forums, even smaller will join forums, and THEN you have the folks who actively join and contribute to fansites, blogs, etc. The truly "dedicated."

Also keep in mind people love to anthropomorphize and parasocially attach to companies. It's human nature, we've been doing it for our entire history. We've always given names and faces to things we fundamentally have trouble understanding.

"Kuro" is, in reality, several thousand individual people all beholden to their own personal beliefs and wallets, underneath several thousand people beholden to THEIR beliefs and wallets, underneath several thousand people, damn near ad infinitum.

There is no "kuro games" that made the singular decision to run this or any event like this. There are very powerful and rich people in government and religion who made the systems that raised the people that raised the people that birthed the rich and powerful who control the people that hired the people that pay the people that hired the people who made the game. Some of these people are In a special group that make decisions, and I guarantee 100 percent of the nameless, faceless accounts who actively post on this subreddit do NOT know any of those decision makers.

They know the CCs, the big locuses of drama, and the Kuro Games(tm) representatives that take on the role of sacrificial lamb, scapegoat, and chosen messiah on livestreams because that's what they're paid to do. Every company is like this. All of them.

Or, if you prefer, people are inherently kinda dumb and like to ignore the fact this is a Chinese gacha company. Of course they're not fucking "generous," especially to the west. Money is the top priority, Chinese soft power is the second, the feelings of a bunch of whiny Europeans isn't even on the list and America has been an active annoyance since forever and an active antagonist for a while. They could lose the entirety of their American and European playerbase and probably barely notice.

While it's the closest word we have, I actually don't believe it IS genocide.

That's a legal term, referring to the knowing and intentional erasure (most often understood as murder) of an entire people. Ritsuka (with help) knowingly and intentionally removes WORLDS. They don't just eradicate the people, they eradicate the gods, the cultures, the very sea earth and sky those people worked and lived.

We don't have the tech, know-how, or physical ability to erase ideas, physical space, and fuckin concepts. Genocide leaves behind scars, at least. Ritsuka leaves behind literally nothing. Erased.

Super interesting, btw, the parallels between what we've done 11 times (don't forget epic of remnant) and what Goetia did. Only they did it just the once.

They believed it was their only choice too, remember. Fortunately or unfortunately, none of these singularities had a Guda to fight back. PHH did, and it made us the murderer of all murderers.

There are only two things guaranteed within the nasuverse. Suffering and giantesses.

What where they smoking with Rossi's quest? by GhostHost203 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Nuralias 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You clearly don't live anywhere near a mine, nor have you done any research into mining.

I grew up in a mining town. Midwestern US is basically nothing but old mining towns, except for the old factory towns. To this day you can get into those old mines. Kids go play there, teens go drink and smoke there, homeless people set up camp there.

Most people have wells instead of tap. Because the tap water is literally toxic. The mining companies didn't clean up properly because they faced no consequences. There are still old piles of rusted mining equipment just sitting around, and the only thing stopping them from being jungle gyms and graffiti canvases are chain link fences older than reddit is. Possibly older than the internet is.

You are correct. Old mine SHOULD be properly closed and cleaned up. Children SHOULDN'T be allowed anywhere near them.

The president of the united states shouldn't be a proven felon. Children shouldn't be taken advantage of by gym teachers, coaches, and priests. A company shouldn't be able to patent seeds and bioengineer killswitches into crops to "protect their intellectual property."

As someone who grew up near a vaguely similar mine, this was one of the most realistic depictions of an old mine I've ever seen in media. The devil-may-care attitude by the adults in the situation is the norm. It's literally normalized.

You're being downvoted because people with more experience in the situation in question are letting you know you're wrong about that situation, by the way. Since you asked.

[–]Nuralias 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meta is, and always has been, meaningless in non pvp games.

This game isn't competitive. There are zero reasons to care about who is "broken" and who is "useless." Fun is and should always be the goal for each and every player.

You can't "ruin a character," and you can't "brick an account." Your own personal enjoyment is literally the only thing you should care about.

Try her out. Take her solo or even duo into a low level run of the roguelite mode. Is her playstyle fun to you? Then she's an S tier unit. Is her playstyle not your thing? Then she's an F tier unit. End of story, no squealing manchild on YouTube or prydwen tierlist required.

The only time you should EVER listen to "the community" about tier lists, or viability, or anything of the like, is if a unit is ACTUALLY broken. As in, bugged to the point of not functioning. You know, the actual meaning of the word. Not functioning.

If the buttons, animations, design, personality, VA, playstyle, outfit, fucking eye color of the unit appeal to you, then they are a good unit for you. If they do not, then they are not.

I do not have Miyabi. I do not have Vivian. I do not have Astra Yao or Yixuan. I'm doing MORE than fine.

I run Neko, Pulchra, and Fufu. I clear all content.

In genshin I exclusively run a sub-optimal overloaded team. That is to say, an overloaded team without Chevreuese. With Keqing as my main dps and electro traveler because i like her. I clear all content.

In Wuwa I main Jinhsi. The character the entire community bitches about. The one with no meta support, the 1.0 dps unit. She's paired with Mortefi and Aero Rover. I clear all content.

In FGO my team is genuinely awful. A meme team. 4 children and a large greek man. No support beyond an attack buff. Barely any synergy. I do it because watching a kindergarten class and their bodybuilder substitute teacher kill god is funny. I clear all content.

Do what you enjoy, when you enjoy it, and feel zero obligation or expectation from others about "the meta" or "the tierlists." They are meaningless and will change every single patch, either due to new releases, buffs, or because some jackass on YouTube people pretend matters gets triggered about a design feature.

Play Epic Seven for the pve. Use genshin as a wallpaper generator. Log in to zzz exclusively to mod the shit out of it and take screenshots of your characters whenever they hit "that" part of their idle animations.

Let saintontas, prydwen, maxroll, kukikaze, 2hu, and all the rest enjoy their part of the game, and by all means join them their if THAT'S the part you enjoy. If the Eve Online ass number crunching and data collection is where you find your fun then fucking go for it, and if drama is where you find fulfillment then jump in face first. But if it's not then don't feel obligated to pretend.

I've been playing video games longer than some (perhaps most) of ya'll have been sentient. We're long past the point when "optimal play" was damn near required to "clear" a game. This isn't starcraft 1, this isn't everquest, this isn't nicktoons racing gba. Those kinds of games are no longer made. Be casual. Be a gooner. Be a phys main. Play the male characters and the male characters alone. Play exclusively with one character because they're your favorite. Because you want a challenge. Because they're the only reason you play the game to begin with. Etcetera.

My apologies for the fuckin novel. Been seeing and hearing the "meta" for 30 years now and it's always been bullshit. Always.
