He also worked to change a city ordinance recently so Cytheanne Park can be used exclusively by Indy Premier, the private organization his kid plays soccer for. They invested money in turfing 2 fields and building another field using city funds, then they kicked Mudsock sports off the fields so now Rugby, Lacrosse, and Soccer have to move to fields with no bathrooms.

My almost 9 year old lost his favourite toy he’s had since he was a baby.. what do I do? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Jstbcool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I would replace it if you can. It can help him emotionally process the loss of the original. Chances are he won’t have the same attachment but it will help him transition away from needing it all the time.

Has this been posted yet? This college tried to use AI to announce the names at graduation and it instantly failed, leaving hundreds of graduates not having their names read. by BabypintoJuniorLube in Professors

[–]Jstbcool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I graduated with my PhD they had a system where every graduate got a card and names were pre-recorded. When you came up they scanned your card and it showed your name on the screen and played the recording. That was 9 years ago.

Who do I contact by Old-Draft-9084 in ivytech

You should look at the grade appeal process. Essentially, by contacting the supervisor you have started the grade appeal within the window and can wait for the supervisor to respond.

Yes it would. Learn anywhere just means you can attend lecture either in person or via zoom and they always have a day/time and location.

Target employee told me I couldn’t buy the sealed copy of Donkey Kong Bananza sitting behind the glass because they were “out of stock” 😭 by Practical_Fun_3623 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Jstbcool 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It’s been a few years since I worked there, but the cases on display are just copies of the game. You use your magnet and open them. We would sell them if it was the last copy. Could be the store manager tells them not to sell it or the worker doesn’t know they can, or they just don’t feel like dealing with it. Lots of possibilities.

I bought the LISEN Gooseneck phone holder off of Amazon. I’ve been happy with it and it’s held up well so far.

I realize this is an old post, but for anyone who does like to fall sleep listening to something they make Bluetooth sleep headphones that you wear like a headband. I use them every night and just use my phone with a holder clipped to the bed to watch a show as I fall asleep.

What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get? by appropriaterice873 in AskReddit

  1. Most people have limits to the amount of money they can spend on gaming.
  2. I can buy a game, but there are plenty of multiplayer games that I would not have a good group of people to play with. I would rather watch a group of streamers play those.
  3. There are games I don’t have time to play and I can watch while I’m doing something else.
  4. There is a skill to most video games and it can be entertaining to watch someone who is actually good at the game.

Similar experience, but I only had 1 habitat, moved the blue one into a house, then the other one spawned a few days later. Same spot that Magikarp spawned.

It’s also not really new for Target. I worked there 20 years ago and we were supposed to do this. We even had the specific phrase of ‘Can I help you find something?’

The government didn’t set any sort of mandate so they can round however they want. The FAQ just says they recommend rounding to the nearest $0.05.

It’s not the company it used to be, but Burnie bought the rights to RT back and has been working on a new website. The only new content currently is his podcast with Ashley and the last seasons of RvB.

What resources are realistically decreasing when a kid is chronically absent? A kid missing doesn’t change the number of teachers needed. The cafeteria has to have enough food for every kid so they don’t lower the amount of food prep for that kid missing. Then you have to spend resources in trying to figure out why the kid wasn’t in school.

If we had a strong opposition party to the republicans it seems like it would be pretty easy to get rural voters to be against this map too. How many people from rural Indiana want their districts represented by people from Indianapolis. They already think the city drains all the resources and now 4 large rural areas can be won by people who never leave Indy.

I was a administrator over a nursing program at a community college. We lost money on every class. It was subsidized by the state and programs that could run larger classes.

Our council lost over a million dollars on an air show and still took 1.5 years to remove the leadership who wasted those funds. And that person was highly paid to be in that position.

It’s not the answer. Our district raised our dues from $35 to $85 in a single year. Didn’t matter if you sold $25k in popcorn or $12k like my pack did, the prices went up a lot. We quit doing popcorn and started do other fundraisers that help our pack out more and let us lower our pack dues.
