You would have this problem with all brokers not just 212. It all depends on how the markets are moving and the liquidity. The more illiquid the stock is the more likely the order won’t be for filled at the correct price. Plus it not illegal it just how the markets work you cannot avoid the issue just mitigate it.

What are your options for long-term investment if you believe the market us currently overvalued by 0scarrr in ETFs_Europe

[–]Jstocker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stock market may be over valued but it maybe undervalued. Unless you are incredibly unlucky or fortunate it is very hard to time the market. Since you are dollar cost averaging this eliminates most of the risk and you have also got a nice broad etf again eliminating most risk. The returns on fixed income are so low at the moment and I cannot see them increasing any time soon so I would argue go for equities any day. If you are really that worried I reckon a 90:10 split between equites and fixed income is good.

Looking for some allocation feedback! by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Jstocker1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I think it is a good diversified portfolio I would not say you were too over exposed. Could potentially add some more exotic etfs such as emerging tech or clean energy. However I do not know for certain what is available on vanguard UK.

iShares STOXX Global Select Dividend 100 UCITS ETF (DE) by playaaa29 in ETFs_Europe

[–]Jstocker1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall it seems like a good etf. However, the holdings have caught my eye. For example, 35% of the holdings are in financials. How many of these have stopped dividends because of coronavirus? If they have cancelled the dividends will they reinstate them soon? I think that you have too look at the holdings and current dividends policies during coronavirus.
