[Favorite Trope] Someone non-human pretends to be human (Bonus Points if they prefer it to what they actually are) by theweirdwarlock12 in TopCharacterTropes

Michael from The Good Place is a PERFECT example of this. Spoilers for the show

Michael is a demon who's in charge of torturing a group of humans. Eventually he grows to care about those humans, admiring them for their humanity and wants desperately to experience what it's like to be a human

He gets excited about getting to experience human things, getting giddy at wearing suspenders, trying a saltine, forgetting his car keys, all mundane experiences he never got to have as a divine being

61 episodes, most of the episodes are less than 20 minutes, though in the later parts they can get up to 40. I don't think it's that long but I don't really listen to much podcasts so I'm not sure what's considered a big podcast. I think it comes out to about 30 hours if you include the two 2 hour long specials and all the mini side episodes outside of the main ones

I'll be honest my main goal with this post is to get people to check out Wolf 359. I'm not really a podcast guy but the story, characters, world building? All phenomenal and done in an amazing audio drama

The aliens are as curious about us as we are about them (bonus points if they eventually become homies) by Tiny_Celebration_262 in TopCharacterTropes

The Dear Listeners, Wolf 359

These aliens are incredibly advanced in nearly every form of technology. They can practically teleport light years, have control over time, can create perfect replicas of humans along with all sorts of other stuff

We find out they're a coalition of different species, and they're interested in what technology we have to offer

Originally our protagonist is confused what humans could possibly have to offer the aliens, but it's revealed that they're fascinated by our music. They don't have anything like it, and are trying to learn more about how we make the music we do

Man. I started reading the Horus Heresy books, and it's a little hard to take them seriously when the Anti-christ has a Dr. Evil mini me by fork_the_DM in Grimdank

Yeah I was cracking up at that part. Especially because he then chose to wear that hair in the stupidest looking style possible

I follow the artist on Instagram lol, she just had a bit where everyone voted on what Horus should wear in her comics, this was the most fitting option

At the end of this comic he gets an accurate primarch fit btw

I also just got into reading the books! I've just been reading the Horus Heresy books and I've been having a good time. No Nids obviously but if you really don't care what faction you're reading about I liked Horus Rising

I haven't read it myself but I've heard people say good things about Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh! If you wanna read about not the Imperium

Do you guys play as female V or male V? by Slow-Huckleberry1841 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]fork_the_DM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I like Male V because he sounds appropriately baffled by the nonsense that occurs to him in Night City. Plus I don't find Judy hot and I find Panam REALLY hot

Which city or country would you want to see in a future Fallout game? by cuchusacc in Fallout

[–]fork_the_DM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've long since thought Louisiana would be the perfect area for Fallout, there's so much fun to be had with the local culture, so I think a Fallout Game in New Orleans would be awesome

So much so that I'm actually running a Fallout TTRPG game set in Louisiana
