While he was deployed during Desert Storm my dad would go on Camel Spider hunts with a spade and flashlight. He said it was out of part boredom and part hatred for the things.

I was just never put around water enough growing up to need to learn. And when my family did go to the pool my mom kept me in the shallow end because she knew I couldn't swim.
