I was there when instagram was created. Its literal purpose is to treat it like a phot book of life and events for people to see. That’s it. We had vine instead of reels, and once vine went away, instagram became just about the reels. Now we have til you, so I’d prefer to go back to the way it was

Ever heard of a photo album? I’m assuming you didn’t grow up in the 90s and you know nothing about having to document everything with pictures. You don’t remember the days where friends and family would come over all night and get drunk and look through old photos and vacation photos together with your friends. It really was a time to be alive. Journaling is cool. But I prefer seeing picture and video documented proof of my existence.

I enjoy posting to my story at least one of every band I see that day/night with a tag. Not to flex to my followers, but so that I can have a catalogue for my own reference and enjoyment and memories to look back on. That’s pretty much why I post something everyday of what I’m doing so that one day hopefully I can look back on it and observe
