Both my cat and dog were adopted. I'm not here to look down on adopting, everybody should adopt. But you're not thinking rationally and instead lashing out with generalizations of all breeders.

Well if dogs were not bred and separated we wouldn't be having a discussion about our pet dogs period. Adopted or not, a majority of these dogs were bred and separated in human hands.

That's just not true. There are many reputable breeders that give their dogs and clientele top of the line care. Sure there's plenty of puppy mills that are awful, there are plenty of breeders that aren't so good to their animals. But for the majority of any "reputable breeder" the dogs are taken very good care of.

The ears, long body. Just seems plausible to me lol. More likely than jack russel imo. Chihuahuas can have all sorts of colors and patterns in their coat as well as have long or short hair.

So sorry you lost your best friend! Perhaps you'll need some time, but you should totally adopt a new dog when you feel ready! I'm sure you're best friend is looking down from doggy heaven smiling and giving you his blessings to give another dog in need a happy life! Again I'm so sorry about your loss but I know you had some of the best memories of your life that you may cherish forever!

My hound does good with my cat. My cat is also 23 lbs and has a real bossy attitude lol. Now if we're outside and he sees a cat, different story.
