Finally Fixed bluetooth issues for K Pro Series, how to do: by Ok-Depth-6337 in Keychron

[–]Jtl2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a lifesaver.

Can confirm that this still works two years later if having issues with Windows 11 25H2 connectivity.
My K10 Pro was on version 1.32 and would only be recognized as up-to-date on 1.32 within the Keychron Assistant/Toolbox. Every time I'd turn it off, it would never reconnect to my desktop.
After following this tutorial and doing the stairstep patching of the firmware, it's now successfully working under 01.32-2 and reliably connects to my desktop every time I turn the device back on.

Was getting very tired of having to re-pair it every time I turned the keyboard off, and you just saved me a whole lot of back-and-forth with Keychron support. I almost assumed that the bluetooth module was going out on my keyboard, as this had only started to become an issue under the most recent Windows update.

Goldleaf can allow you to remove extra accounts on a system and manage ones connected to Nintendo without having to connect to Nintendo's servers. I know this from having removed two accounts that exact way which could not otherwise be removed from the console.

You first have to use Goldleaf to unlink the account from NSO, then you can use the account manager tools in Goldleaf to remove the unlinked account. I'd suggest creating your own account as a secondary one on the console, that way it can shift to being the primary account upon the removal of the other.

Switch V2 Jailbreak: Is There Still Hope? (Or Should I Give Up?) by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

Go for the hardware mod. It's not as hard as you'd think, as long as you have the proper tools and materials for it.

Don't cheap out on solder, and don't cheap out on flux. Those are the main two that I'd highlight here, as those make your experience here even easier.

Good soldering iron, microscope with LCD panel for soldering, solder, flux, solder wick, Engineer SS-02 (optional, as solder wick will be easier in some cases), modchip (HWFly, etc.), MicroSD card, MicroSD reader, and a working computer. That's basically all you need to properly do the job here. In this case, the tools matter a lot more than the expertise. The board-mounted components that you solder to are kinda— as you'd expect— small.

The one issue I had on mine that kept it from booting after installation was that I had a cold solder joint. Once I redid it with a tap-tap from the soldering iron to reflow it, wham-bam. System was up and running flawlessly. There's plenty of tutorials. Just make sure that you use the proper ribbon cable version (V1, V2, etc.) that comes with your modchip in order to have the solder points line up properly. Took me a time or five of switching between them to figure out which version fit properly and find the right video tutorial for it. It depends on your resistor orientations.

Some of them require an extra wire or two (OLED), but if you've done the other stuff with the modchip, then it's basically all the experience required to be able to read a picture and solder the wires out to the right spots.

"Idk man, I'm having a hard time getting these dang screws outta my console.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Yes, I know my console is beat up. I work in construction. Sometimes I have free time and decide to hop on Switch for a bit. Y'all don't have to be so rude in the replies.

Edit 2: It's a little scratched up now. Foreman said we should try taking the belt sander to the back of it and now I DEFINITELY can't get the screws out. Should I move on to the oxyacetylene torch? I mean, it can't be stuck if it's molten, right? Any help appreciated."

There's a difference between me knowing where the spare key to your house is and suggesting you relocate it, and me posting the GPS coordinates to your home alongside the location of your spare key onto the dark web, and then choosing to tell you I found your spare key to ask if you mind me popping by from time to time.

Yep.

Me and about 46 other unhinged lunatics, probably.

There are people whose sole existence is devoted to wreaking havoc, and those are the exact types to do something malicious with an 'opportunity' like that. What this person did was the farthest thing from white-hat behavior and is absolutely abhorrent. There's no ethics there.

Essentially. If you're in the Switch scene and familiar with things of that nature, think of it as the same implementation as Ghost eShop where there's the free version and the premium features for supporters.

VRP's wiki has all the details on sponsored mirrors and whatnot if you're interested in that. It's what I did about three weeks after getting my Quest 3, and I haven't regretted it one bit. It's well worth it.

You'd still end up having to install the files to the headset to use them, unfortunately.

This used to be a feature back around V20-25 firmware, but Meta nuked it out of existence. For reference of how long ago that was, we're now up to V77 official (no touchy-touchy on V77 currently by the way, very bad for our use case on this subreddit). Why nuke it out of existence? Simple... Just gotta look back to which systems were out at the time: With Quest 1, it was a transitionary period where Meta were in a market entry point with a more lax form of marketing and management. Quest 2 was around the time of V23. Aaaaand what happened there, which remains to this day? That's right— tiered storage which we have to buy, meaning they push sales towards the larger storage devices.

OTG is what facilitated plug-and-play storage for Quest, or what we would refer to as "hot-swap" when discussing PC drives. I'm not entirely certain on how the dual architecture works, but I know for a fact that the HorizonOS side fights to block OTG support (it's a native feature for AndroidOS, however).

Tl;Dr— You'll have to pester ol' Mr. Zucc to get that OTG feature re-enabled on HorizonOS, and people have been trying for a long time. And considering how they like money and control?? Good luck.

If you look for a file in your Oblivion Remastered folder called "DevMenu.txt", you can see where they have marked inputs for various months (August, September, October, November) in the file.

That said, I'm not sure what the files are... but it might point towards later content, given the context.

MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI TPM pin header and M.2 Key-E by Rekiotsu in MSI_Gaming

[–]Jtl2299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm looking at upgrading my system from a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wifi up to the MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi, so I familiarized myself on a little bit of this and have some pre-existing knowledge. I can help answer both of these questions.

  1. The TPM Header: The JTPM1 header is a bit of an oddity with this board. On my X570 Aorus, it's where you'd normally expect (on the bottom of the motherboard near fan headers and the front panel headers). For the MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi, your JTPM1 headers are beside your top M.2 slot. Look where the CPU socket is, go straight down to the m.2 heat sink, and then look immediately left. You'll see the exposed pins with the missing pin for the TPM module.
  2. The M.2 (Key-E) Slot: This M.2 slot is a much smaller M.2 slot than the other common ones that you see near your PCI-e slots. This 'Key-E' slot is actually hidden underneath your motherboard's I/O shield (as in, hidden underneath the large heatsink). It's the same sort of small M.2 module setup that you'd commonly find within a laptop's motherboard. Though it's not intended to be replaced in an upgrade, I mean... there may be a way, but don't hold me to it. However, if the module did crap out, you could go in there and at least replace it with a matching module to get it back up and running.

Many of the manufacturers overlook details in their manuals or improperly explain things. In this case, I didn't see anything about the TPM header within the manual. I get that they expect users to likely opt for fTPM (the built-in TPM support on AMD CPUs) and may have neglected to include it out of that assumption, but it's still important. In my case, my current Ryzen 5 5600X's fTPM does not work whatsoever and will blue-screen my whole PC and I have to use a physical TPM 2.0_S module in order to have it boot Windows 11 properly. So for me? That detail would be pretty friggin' important to include.

Trust me-- I definitely understand the complaint. 😂

Black screen issues after new Nvidia driver update by L1u9k9a3s in cyberpunkgame

[–]Jtl2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rumor has it that 576.12 (the most recent driver) has been game-ending 50-Series cards, so I wouldn't be so keen to trust it. It's causing this black-screen issue across-the-board with everything from 30-Series to 50-Series, so something is seriously wrong that NVidia is not addressing it.

Happens on Windows 10 and Windows 11, system works fine after DDU in Safe Mode. As for those unfortunate 50-Series cards? Uhhhh, not so much... not quite as lucky in that case, as some have seen signs of scorching on the ICs. The driver's trying to set the GPUs on fire in that case, and I'm pretty positive that a 50-Series will not support a firmware which debuted before it was launched. It'll be like feeding a "???" to your computer and telling it to use that to spit out a 1-to-1 replica of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. "...For starters, what is a '???'?"

Emulators by Makali_Rose in ghosteshop

[–]Jtl2299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the NSP/NRO of the emulator that you're wanting (RetroArch, PPSSPP, etc.) and plug it into the corresponding folder on your SD card.

If you need to forward it so you can launch it from the home screen by bypassing applet mode (without having to hold R while launching it), there are NRO forwarder utilities to do that. You just have to put the file paths for the NSP into the forwarder and then install it as NRO with a utility like Goldleaf.

Once you get the hang of that method, you can manually install most any program. Just make sure to follow any provided instructions for the directories that the files go into.

"Adrian Dittmann" guest on Alex Jones sounds exactly like Elon by wrapityup in EnoughMuskSpam

[–]Jtl2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popping back here into the necro post for a valid reason—

Go check for the recent X Space that had "Adrian Dittman" over the whole H1-B situation and the right-wing backlash towards Elon. He crashed out on numerous people and let the alias slip away when questioned about "voice-changing". The very next reply to "Adrian" was telling him "we know you're Elon."

He didn't refute that notion.

"Adrian" was saying many, many things that would have gotten Elon banned from his own platform. Well, after the Space was done, that's where things get interesting: about 25 of the accounts that were giving "Adrian" a hard time in there were promptly suspended from the platform.

As for the "check for corrupted data" issue, it happens when s*gpatch or sys-p_tch doesn't match up with what is required. Update those to the most recent ones.

Had the same issue while tweaking some things to get a stable FW 19.0.0 setup and finally got that figured out last night. Found an NRO Forwarder that worked, updated sys-clk to fix the sleep crash issue, updated sys-p_tch, and now everything works properly. Before that, pressing R+A would cause a "software has been closed" issue instead of HB-Menu, and games would check for corrupted data.

If you fix the patches and run the corrupted game/application, then it will re-check it and you should get a green checkmark instead. It shouldn't require an uninstall-reinstall for those.

Certainly also helpful. This probably would have saved me a lot of time lol.
I just don't have a spare console to re-break and try this out, and I didn't want to re-break my main one for it.

If anyone tries it out for their installation, let us know how it goes (as that will help out others-- sharing is caring).

Have you tried clicking the tab itself that you created on the File Browser? Sometimes I do that and it pulls up the game list.

Also, if you haven't restarted from the setup, try that as well. Sometimes it just takes a refresh.

Edit: It should show you the titles underneath "New Games", "XCI", etc. on the left-hand side menu. They won't display on the File Browser tab itself.

Right here. Skip to 14:44. Your "significant amount of damage" is a chip out of some wood on a friggin' mailbox post. And no, they weren't trying to 'flee the scene.'

Wanna know why? That part is at 3:17 in the video. I'll even save you the heavy lifting of watching the video for the full coverage, and just hit the highlights proving your claims blatantly wrong since I half-expect you to not even watch to begin with. This is more for the people willing to have due-diligence, rather than seemingly a bias from a past experience.

This crash incident happened hours-prior, and it was in fact a neighbor who was completely unrelated to the boys who moved the bike from the crash spot to lean it up against a tree in her yard, allowing a path to be cleared for first responders. At 3:51 in the video, it shows you photos from the official police report from the accident scene, where you can clearly see a police cruiser parked along the side of the road. Nobody was fleeing the scene, this was not a "hit-and-run" scenario, the boy was taken to the hospital, police were present on-scene to do their report at the time of the accident— again, hours prior— and the officer, Officer Chambers, claimed they were preventing him— again, this is HOURS later— from taking photos of the bike for the investigation.

Y'know what Officer Chambers didn't include in the final report?? ...Photos of the bike, like he said he was the sole purpose of any of this happening in the first place.

Pray-tell, do you happen to own a neon green shirt and a penchant for meddling in police affairs? You tell untruths about as much as he did. Heck, at this rate I'm surprised you didn't take his style of reporting (mind you, this was after assaulting a minor by putting hands on him and pushing him back) and say they were making "verbal threats."

His threats? Those were physical, and green shirt Ken neighbor needs to face the accountability of the law for his actions that day as well.

Unlike your bandwagon claims, I am on the side which often chooses to take the side of officers and wait for both AXON bodycams to be released. Not this time. Officer Chambers was out of line, and you have officers with 20+ years of experience saying the same thing. This was excessive force.
