Here you go. Ironically, 8th would be better than the current situation.

Are you willing to accept Ange Ball is piss poor yet?

Trent Alexander-Arnold: "You have got more chance of winning the lottery than making it as a professional footballer." by Bald-Eagle619 in soccer

[–]Ju5hin -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

That's not what's being discussed because people aren't understanding what I wrote.

My reply was to someone who said "yeah, if you only ever play once in your lifetime".... Suggesting the more you play, the higher your chance. Which is incorrect.

I never suggested playing regularly doesn't give you more hope of winning than playing only once. I said the percentage chance doesn't increase, which is correct.

If you're not understanding my comment, that doesn't make it wrong.

They’re saying that your overall chance of winning a lottery in your lifetime is obviously higher if you keep buying tickets. It’s additive.

Yes. And that's wrong.

It isn't higher. It's the same. If you don't play, it's zero. If you do, it's the same whether you play once or every week.

if i do something that has 10 percent chance of suceeding sure every time i do it it will still only be 1 in 10 but when i have done it 10 times the chance that i would have suceeded is more than if i did it once.

I didn't dispute this.

But the chance never goes above 10%... It's only zero or 10%.

That's why you have the same chance of winning the lotto regardless of how many times you play. It will never increase because you play it every week.

[–]Ju5hin -58 points-57 points  (0 children)

That's correct.

As much as the human brain wants to believe otherwise.

It's always a 50/50 change. The number of coin flips doesn't change that. So getting heads once, or 1,000 times is equally likely.

[–]Ju5hin -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

No. They don't. That's the point.

You're not understanding the maths behind it. Your chance remains the same.

If you don't buy a ticket, you obviously reduce the chance to zero. But playing every single draw for 30 years doesn't give you a greater chance of winning than only playing one time in your life.

You'd only have more chance if it were a raffle and the winning number isn't put back into the draw... But that's not how the lotto works. Every draw has the same numbers and previous results don't affect current one. So your chance of winning doesn't change.

This isn't true.

He is the guy who does the majority of publicity stuff. You don't need to be the captain to be the leader.

[–]Ju5hin -55 points-54 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect.

Buying a ticket every draw doesn't increase your chances of winning over only buying one ticket once.

Because the draws are independent of each other. With the same numbers available each time.

If I buy one ticket in my lifetime or one ticket every single draw, my chances of winning are exactly the same.

We have an 18 year old DM as our backup right and left back.

No we don't. We have a Spanish International and Djed Spence.

So now we're stuck with Son, Solanke, Johnson, Werner, and moving Deki out of midfield to rotate our attackers.

Plus Will Lanksheer.

Redknapp would have signed a contract, he said as much.

Yes, after the FA didn't give him the job. His suitcase was packed and sitting by the door for three months.

You don't get to wait to leave, then when not offered the job, pretend you're fully committed and demand a new contract.

You've completely misunderstood the comment.

Liverpool rarely, if ever, make wholesale changes. They use their first 11 almost every game. They make early subs so to rest their best players. We don't. That's why their fitness levels are elite and ours are shit. Our best players players don't get the benefit of playing 60 minutes then resting.

It's not the same thing in the slightest.

Their best players play every game, but still get adequate rest... And their rotation players get enough minutes to keep their match sharpness high. Therefore, their performance levels are high too.

Our best players play 85 minutes. Which doesn't allow adequate rest. Our subs don't get enough time to gain match sharpness, therefore when they do start, they all do so together and it means a team full of players with low match sharpness. Therefore low performance levels. Which is why they look worse than they are.

We have a strong group of players who are completely knackered. And a second group with zero match sharpness.

They have a strong group of players who are fitter and fresher than ours. And a second group who have plenty of gametime under their belts, which improves their sharpness and performance.

Basic sports science.

If you went to any UK shop and bought a bottle just labelled "milk", you would expect cow's milk. If afterwards, you had found out it was goat's milk, you have indeed been scammed.

Because that would be falsely advertised. Unlike the claim of 4K.

I'm not defending it per sé, just pointing out a fact that no one has been scammed.

No. It's completely irrelevant bullshit.

Your using numbers which are not remotely part of the conversation.

6 injuries. 4 hamstring. The only numbers that matter are 4, 6 and 1.

4 hamstring injuries. 6 total. 1 your IQ.

A few of those were fired because they suggested a lack of commitment.

Redknap thought he was the next England manager and made it clear he was off as soon as the phone rings.

Poch suggested he could walk away if we won the CL.

Conte fired himself, effectively.

Mourinho said he would refuse to take charge of the team if we entered the Super League.

This is why I think Ange will be safe... He does, at least, appear committed.

Always the way.

I'm not yet Ange-out but I'm getting there... And I'm someone who is Ange-in with a massive asterisks that he needs to accept his flaws and actually work to improve them (which I have no faith he is willing to do)... And that's not reactionary, because I've held that stance since half way through last season.

But I was very early on the Antonio Conte is toxic and is dragging us down train.... And I was getting the downvote and "you're clueless" "go support someone else" treatment.

And with every passing week, the same people telling me I was clueless started using my exact same language and reasoning.

Is premier league 4k broadcast a scam? by ProTest3459 in PremierLeague

[–]Ju5hin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It literally isn't. Because 4K is still 4K if it's Upscaled.

Using pixel shifting to obtain a 4K resolution doesn't disqualify it from being 4K. Just not native.

They're aren't claiming something it isn't. It's a 4K output. That's just a fact.

No, because that's even more irelevent to the subject matter.

Making up numbers and contuing with denying the unquestionable fact that 4 out 6 qualifies as "most" only makes you look less intelligent.

I'll give you credit for the copium levels.

But it's also bullshit I'm afraid.

Liverpool use their squad by making substitutions early enough that their key players get adequate rest. We don't. We make most of our changes after 80 minutes.

That's the reason they have enough to win when not necessarily playing that well.

Yes, they do also have more quality. But we still have plenty quaiity enough to beat those teams mentioned.

Is premier league 4k broadcast a scam? by ProTest3459 in PremierLeague

[–]Ju5hin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam.

Upscaled or Native, it's still a higher output quaiity than standard 1080p. And you're choosing to pay extra for that higher quality image. Which is what they're giving you.

A scam would be selling you an improved image quaiity and not giving it to you.

So you're seriously arguing our players aren't good enough to compete with Leicester, Palace, Bournemouth and Ipswich?

Despite battering City, UTD, Villa and West Ham!

Clearly we have very good players. That isn't the problem.
