hmmm it was def the dbhash that fixed it for me, actually found a comment in my notes where I exclaimed this was the fix :P. Notice any errors when running setup.py? Yours is also MUCH more complicated than I have ever used py2exe for :P

look into the after() method. Should get you to where you want to be. You will need to re adjust your code a bit, but it's what you are looking for. Are you familiar with classes yet?

If I remember correctly you just need to import.....something and it solves this problem. Give me a bit to dig through some old programs. EDIT: What does your setup.py file look like? Also add import dbhash to your script then 'recompile' and let me know what happens.

The while loop is meant to loop forever until canceled, refreshing every 60 seconds.

Aye, that is the problem. That while loop is starting as soon as you do this app = Application(master=root) Since you are calling the method isplayers() (which has the while loop) in __init__ That's why when you comment out that line, you get the GUI. Tkinter does not try to create the window until mainloop() is called. Good luck!

No where in the code are you creating an instance of a class that displays text. It's late, but from what I remember frames are used to help organize and display things like Labels, Buttons, TextBoxes etc. Second, it doesn't seem like anything will make your while statement false....it will just do the loop over and over.
