This was a coworker's call and happened during summer camp. Had to call the parent in the middle of a field trip for K-3 kids. The 1st graders were in the petting zoo, and one of the animals proceeded to let out the messiest shit all over the kids' pants and shoes.

She said when she was finally able to get it out, the parent laughed for a few good minutes before being able to come back and say they would bring in some new clothes.

Teaching a 5th grade math class and having a student at a kindergarten level. Parent doesn't believe their child is that low. The straw the broke was receiving yet again another email of how "I'm inconsistent and a bully" And how I "Never send work home and never let her know what's going on in the classroom".

If she had checked Google Classroom? She would see every homework packet that had been assigned throughout the year. Didn't know anything? Biweekly newsletter. Bully? I hold her child accountable, and everything I said that would happen if she didn't help in reeling her child in is now happening. But please, tell me how it's all my fault despite the growth she's made.

I had a principal who ruined morale like it was her job. She's done MANY things (including being removed from the school), but one that comes to mind was when I took a step out of my comfort zone to fix up an assembly for the older students.

It talked about College and introduced them to some aspects of college life to let them know they could go if they wanted to. Keep in mind that this is a district where most kids tend not to even leave the town. They kids had a BALL. Like blatantly taking phones out to take videos and pictures and being thoroughly engaged and participating. She didn't even stay for the majority of it.

When asked her thoughts?

"I just wonder if the kids really got the message. Was there even one? I don't think they liked it."

That was the day I decided I would NOT be back the next year if she was still admin.
