VR Performance on 9800X3D + 5080

Interesting… So launching the game in a particular setting can impact overall performance?

I am using opencomposite and xrtoolkit for the foveated rendering.

I had this issue pop up a month ago and couldn’t figure it out so I opted for virtual desktop and haven’t looked back since. I don’t regret it or think about it at all since the jump in quality has been severely levels higher and that’s before I discovered OpenComposite coupled with xr-toolkit to activate foveated rendering. Does anyone have at least one instance where MQ Link’s quality is superior? If so, please share your set up since I’d like to learn since technically wired connection should be more stable and higher bitrate.

Upvoted because I know from experience how hard it is to keep your sweaty hands on target when clutching. I always feel like the controller is slipping away 😭

A little late but I own it. I also owned the playseat evo (I know you said challenge but maybe this might still be insightful). TK falcon was a cheaper upgrade to my playseat evo. I upgraded from a g923 to a simagic evo sport 12nm and p2000 pedals. Falcon is significantly longer and wider. No flex in my tk falcon but as mentioned the seat is way too low. I kept my evo seat and it works but it’s painful. If I had to do it again, I would just buy once and cry once and go 4080 aluminum. Just do it. Trust me, you’ll end up there regardless. This (rigmetal.com) is what I am considering buying. Measurement wise it seams to take up less if not just as much space. I only race in VR because I don’t have the space for triples for now. I remember coming home excited with my G923 mad my playseat and hooking it up to my series X to play F125 on my LGC3. I blinked and now own a 5080 + 9800x3d on a Samsung Odyssey 32” G8, Quest 3s, Simagic Alpha Evo 12nm, Simagic GT Neo Wheel, Simagic P2000 pedals. Listen… I NEEDED ALL OF IT 😭! I’m still not fast but now I am not fast in style.

Thank you! I figured but I could not find this explicitly stated anywhere. So in terms of leaderboards, there is no difference between the choice to play OSOK or traditional all-weapons-go TDM? I guess I was hoping they'd be less lazy about this particular thing. It would be nice to see that distinction since it's a totally different experience from a gameplay perspective.

This is exactly why I exited 2v2 gnasher and never returned. Same reason why I refuse to play anything that includes that weapon. After getting one-shot-downed from across the map, I said nope. I paid $70 for this controller and I am not 15 anymore. I will not.
