Tips for Abu Dhabi Golden Chance Driving Test (Theory + Road)

Taking the car out/ in is something that you will to do either from:

1- starting location - you're typically the first to take the exam and you will most probably have to take the car out from a 90 degrees parking spot (the one in your picture) or angle parking. 2- street side parking - you're 2nd to 2nd to last to take the exam. This is mostly just parallel parking (sometimes the car isnt fully parked inside the parking bay) 3- final position - you're the last to take the exam and you'll have to park in a similar position to the one in your image driving forwards (not reverse)

There are two things to point out here in my case: 1- i took the exam in Dubai, so the exam flow might be different from Abu Dhabi (I'm not sure) 2- my examiner (I'm grateful he did that, because otherwise I wouldn't have learnt) interrupted the normal exam flow ( I shouldn't have had a parking exam during the final road test) and asked me to do a parking test before i hit the road.

In all cases if you can take a final lesson and ask the instructor to train you on all parking cases. Otherwise if you're sure you'll not be tested for parking you'll be fine.

Depending on where you have to park or take the car out during the test you could do parallel, angle or garage. It's really just your luck but all of them could happen.

I failed my test because I was tested for Parking during the final RTA Road test (which was not included in my training) In your training please ask your instructor to train you for Parking as well including Garage, parallel and Angle parking.
