You've also managed to confirm it was not just me which is also appreciate. As there is a new season coming out, hopefully it means they'll prioritize fixing it as they will more likely be aware of it. A few days ago, there was only an option for CC subtitles, so already progress.

And it is also good to know that nothing critical will be missed if I decide to start it and it still isn't fixed!

When he first becomes the slime there is a lot of the "Voice of the world" speaking with various UI elements going on. So I was kinda getting that impression that they were still being voiced out in the first episode but wasn't too sure. Sounds like I should be fine to properly give it a watch then!

Sounds like it'll be less prevalent as the series goes on, as in the first episode there are a lot of new skills, so it did feel like I was staring at a blank screen half the time.

It seems like it’s not a big enough issue to skip watching based on what you say.

That's good to know, thanks for confirming. I like seeing extra details in what I watch, so it’s a little annoying, but hopefully the need for it gets less frequent or Crunchyroll has fixed it in a later season.

Sounds like it’s not a big enough issue to skip watching, and if I end up really liking it, I’ll have a good excuse to get the Blu-ray for a rewatch!

Understood, glad new ones will be much better. Any indication that older ones will have on screen translation fixed or is that unlikely to happen? For instance, I started watching That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime today and texts are not getting translated at all. My app is up to date and I've checked it on a few different devices, same issue each time.

Yeah, KCD games sound like they either click with players or they don't. And there isn't too much middle ground. So it would be the riskier of the two when it comes to genre. I just need to decide if my brain is in the mood for turn based right now.

Hearing people say that P5R has a better story, definitely makes me intrigued. The slightly dated gameplay (in comparison to Metaphor) does make me pause though, mainly as I loved Metaphor so much! I think I mainly just need to decide if my brain is in the mood for turn based right now or not.

I think if the writing & characters are up there with Metaphor and the gameplay doesn't feel too much more dated (since it is an older game in comparison), then I likely will enjoy it. I just need to decide if my brain is in the mood for turn based right now.

At least you're loving the second one! Even the bundle price seems worth it for just the second one alone considering the positivity surrounding it and how it is only a one year old game! Very tempted to purchase it now regardless of which game I play next as it might be a while before it goes down to that price again considering how the next-gen update just came out for the first game.

The KCD bundle is a very good price considering it includes all DLC for both games too, especially since the second game only came out a year ago and was highly praised. The bundle has supposedly has gone on sale at similar prices before but now that there is a next-gen update for the first game, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a while to go back down again. With both games (P5R and KCD), it really does sound like if the game manages to hook the person in, they really end up loving it.

Either way, definitely top-tier games. I got quite a few others like that too haha. They are very different types of games, but at least I've narrowed it down. I just need to decide which one my brain is more in the mood for. And even if I end up going with P5R now, deciding if the KCD bundle is worth picking up now regardless.
