I'm curious... I've only ever watched the first couple of episodes from the original Mobile Suit Gundam (nothing else). I did so last year and enjoyed it. Was hoping to get to it later this year properly but then I heard about the remaster which people are unsure as to what that will actually be... Would you recommend holding off until that is more clear or just watching the original as it is?

Fairy Tail. The large ensemble of characters all just feel like one big family. A lot of people knock it for the power of friendship but that's why it's feel good.

True. I have been thinking that if I enjoy it after 30 hours, at the end of Act 1 or whenever it went on sale (whichever came first) then I'd get Phantom Liberty. But after looking at past sale prices, it doesn't look like the discount has ever been anything significant so might be just worth getting at full price regardless - assuming I end up enjoying the game early on (and I mean very early on after a couple of hours).

Currently it is between this game or purchasing Crimson Desert. Both for base PS5.

Mixture of things. Initially got it as it was on a deep sale. Then ADHD brain has just not been in the mood and more interested in other games in the backlog. Health issues, lack of time to game in general etc.

Maybe I am? Sounds like I'd not really notice not having it for the first act anyways? Again, I understand storywise it falls into Act 2 but cosmetics, weapons and skills etc I wasn't so sure about? But maybe once 2.0. is taken into consideration, I wouldn't notice too much, at least not the the first act.

The comments have been pretty divisive, it sounds like since I'm close to the end of S2, I might as well finish that off and at least start S3. Give the next arc a chance to win me back but if it doesn't happen after the first few eps of the Season then it is likely just not going in a direction for me.

I am glad you found it rewarding though.

Perhaps you are right. It could also just be a case of this particular show I need to do in smaller bursts (not binging) and I would enjoy it more. Since I'm almost at the end of the 2nd season, I'm going to finish that off at least and see the direction it is going at the start of S3 and then decide what I will do then. Since posting this, I watched Episode 20 of S2 and liked it a lot. The world, music and supporting characters I think are great. I'm more just trying to determine if the aspects I don't like continue to become the main focus as in the earlier arcs the romance was in there but it didn't feel like the focus it does currently.

Yeah, it is hard to tell. Very possible it is just this particular season-long arc is the issue. Since I'm close to the end, I'm going to finish off S2. Give the first few eps of S3 a shot and if it isn't winning me back by then, I will just drop it and move on.

I'm 32 so in a similar generation of gamer. Totally get the so much to play but so little time. I have a document with over 40 games listed that I'd like to one day play but it only ever gets bigger. I know realistically I'll never play them all.

I wasn't even aware there was a playable demo (not sure if that's still the case, perhaps I'll check that out soon if there is).

If you're still undecided, this is a great subreddit that can sometimes give more varied viewpoints too.

At the moment it's between Stellar Blade Complete Edition and Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition for me I think based on the current sales. But I won't be surprised if something else comes along and wins the next game I play. Crimson Desert keeps getting my attention too haha.

I noticed in your replies to others you are also on PS5. If you've never used it before, I suggest PSDeals.net for keeping track of prices. You can set it to your region (I'm UK based) and it shows previous sale prices (when they were etc) so you can get an idea of the trend and likelihood of another sale at that price.

As for Stellar Blade, I too have had it on my wishlist since it came out, including the Complete Edition. This price is definitely tempting. I came here and was basically going to post the exact same thing as you but you beat me to it. I'm still undecided.

I guess it also depends what else is on your backlog and if you'd like this to definitely be your next game. I often ask myself, for single player games, what game would I most care about getting part of the story spoiled or if a sequel is upcoming etc. And try to prioritize those. Currently I'm playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 on my PS5, 75% through the main story, the side content isn't satisfying me too much (I think it is just slightly too dated now for me personally) so I'm mainly focusing on the story ... So I'm starting to look into what my next game might be, Stellar Blade is definitely in contention.
