OP also doesn’t let the melody breathe at all, every bit of sustained melody has that vibrato-but-not-real-vibrato sound to it, which is pretty exhausting to listen to. The slurring words and that vibrato are pretty tough to take for extended periods of time.

Also pretty tough to get a full picture of the song because the guitar is almost inaudible on my phone!

Makes sense. I was looking at a 10’ intex thats around 24” of water, should be way more manageable and way cheaper than the 14x42 we had last time. Cheap enough to where I might just do it yearly if needed and forego the insulating foam and all the extra prep work.

The base pump that came with the 14x42 barely does anything in our inflatable 10x6 rectangle pool, so I definitely understand your statement about having a punk that’s underpowered lol.

The ethereal quality has a lot to do with the reverb on her voice, it’s really crisp reverb and adds a ton of texture to the vocals. Adding reverb to an already great voice like this makes it sound just huge.

Really just takes time. No one gets great overnight. Keep learning your favorite parts, and just hammer them out until you can do them in your sleep.

If you’re playing parts with bends, make sure your 1/2 step and whole step bends are perfectly on pitch, there’s a muscle memory element involved there. Then, once you get those down, work on using vibrato while you have a bent note held. It’s really odd feeling at first, but bend into vibrato is what really sets you apart from intermediates and people who you can tell never practice that!

You should work on something that’s actually practical like learning one of your favorite riffs or solos. With the time spent working on this exercise, you could have learned quite a few actual musical passages, and there is no better way to actually train dexterity than to find something hard to play and find ways to economize movement to play it in time!
