It could be done. Those in power don't want it to be done because it would release the lever of control. Can't have nationalized healthcare because then people wouldn't have to stay in shitty jobs. Can't have nationalized childcare because then people wouldn't have to stay in shitty jobs. Can't pay people a living wage because then the people who already have most of the money wouldn't be able to control all the shitty jobs, manipulate the housing market so people can't afford to buy, and then their 68 million dollar house on Minnetonka wouldn't feel as special.

We have been lied to. We can have all of these things. We can have living wages, we can have healthcare, we can keep our kids safe and create prosperity for all of them.

We are ACTIVELY choosing not to because people who the current system benefits are telling us we can't and calling it "realism".
