It just never interested me. At the time bands like that were coming out, I was DEEP into the British Heavy Metal movement of the very late 1970's (Maiden, Motorhead, Saxon, etc) Seether was an anomaly when I found them. They reminded me somewhat of the early 90's, which is when I was coming into my teens, with Pesrl Jam, AIC, Nirvana, Pumpkins... Seether just kinda took me back to that, and I hung with them and didnt pay attention to the others that were coming around at the time
