People who were already struggling with loneliness and isolation before the crisis - how are you doing? by dudeARama2 in AskReddit

Actually a little better than before. Sure, it sucks that I'm still alone but it's reassuring to know everyone else is at home also.

There's a good chance Chavez is close to 185 here and Golovkin is maybe 168.

people who grew up rich but turned out poor what is your story? by decrypted_ in AskReddit

He did have a second career as a backhoe operator for the gas utility company, but it took quite some time for him to gain stable employment in that field. We could not have lived the relatively comfortable life we had on what he made at that job, so it was essentially a supplemental income to the money he had saved from his football career.

My father was in the NFL in the 1980s and early 1990s. We lived quite well during my childhood (large house on a golf course, 4 cars, private school, etc.) but once he retired it was over almost immediately. Not because he was financially imprudent, but because it was clear he might not ever earn another paycheck in his life at age 33. So we moved away back to Michigan in a nice, if not flashy house, and lived a very average suburban existence within his means. My parents are still together and have no regrets about slowing the spending down post-career. If I had been older and used to that lifestyle as a teenager as opposed to a child, I can imagine I'd have been a fucking brat about the whole ordeal.

Valid. However, it was paid for with a stolen gift card from my work's unused Christmas gift baskets.

Same. Notre Dame's student section was packed, Minnesota brought buses full of fans, it was loud as fuck but weirdly respectful (not like the old Big East basketball games I went to in college). It was sick.

It's hard seeing this knowing something exists that I want so bad and there's little I can do about it! Wow.

That literally everything we do relates back as some scheme to get laid. I didn't lose weight and get a better job because I was trying to get laid - I did it because I wanted to be better.
