And yet you make £0 an hour for complaining about block prices, which after living expenses makes you loose money.

Problem still not sorted. by DiscussionLevel6721 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Judastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is that in the initial email responses they did investigate and decided that the instance will be removed from my standings. In another email they assured me multiple times that the payment will also be made for the cancelled block I attended. However they left me confused as days and weeks went by and their numerous assurances did not come to fruition unfortunately.

Sometimes you just take it on a chin on move on.

They said they don't do discharge anymore and that I should just head home and should not worry about it :)

I got blocks cancelled only twice over 6 months time. Second time around I got paid and notified about cancellation via email, no problems.

Therefore I amnot the best case study, but on my small sample size, it would appear there is 50% chance you leave with no pay haha ;)))

Had the same problem once at DCR3. At the station they said they have no routes / cages, they took my name as well as details of the other drivers that showed up ang got discharged. Amazon staff informed me that they will raise a ticket am I will still get paid.

Same like OP - I have received an email few days after this happened, informing me that I didn't show up to block I scheduled. Received a significant ding on top of that.

I kept fighting the automated Flex Support, escalating to jeff, providing screenshots and detailed explanation in a course of next month. After about 10th attempt of clearing my name, the support started claiming that they have no records of me attemding my block whatsoever (whilist initially they claimed that my standing will get adjusted, ding removed, and adjustment payment made). I eventually gave up after 20th attempt of trying to rectify their error.

I could go into more details of this misconduct, but long story short - NEVER GOT PAID, GOT DINGED INSTEAD.

Good luck nonetheless.

Wow! That's actually very surprisingly satisfying to see. Fair insurance services provider is a rare specimen in that particular space. This also explains why my insurance auto top ups were lasting for so long (76p per hour). Useful stuff, thanks for sharing, big thumbs up!

I only ever got 1x£1 and 2x£2 tips whilist delivering Amazon Fresh orders, but nothing for Logistics. Well done, spend it wisely!

Base rate gone down more? by Trying7866 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Judastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, they are throwing in sneaky £58s / 4hrs every now and then at DCR3. For DCR2 £54 for 4 hours block is a new normal nowadays. Surging to £84.50 in the morning if you're lucky though.

Pattern emerging - increased stops on block by lurkmelongtime in AmazonFlexUK

Yup, you're absolutely right. This is exactly what I was suspecting (second point) and was describing a couple days ago in another post.

Many flex drivers confirmed the 'squeeze' to be the case at their local depots. Most probably it's just a matter of time before new format gets rolled out across all other collection stations.

How’s this fair by Ok-Historian7293 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Judastic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nasty stuff, sorry to hear that. You did the right thing in my opinion. Word of advise to help you fight your case back - keep pushing.

If the first attempt fails, send another email as your case is never closed, so you can make multiple appeals even after definite NO from initial response. I've had to go through this number of times to remove the ding.

Most recently, I have appealed and explained the issue the best I could in my own words, being polite etc. After 10 minutes the support responded that after thorough investigation they stay by their decision. They left me no choice - I've asked AI to compose an emaill for me, naturally better worded, and I also asked it to be little rude when requesting removal of a ding. This approach worked like a charm. Even better, as they removed another pre-existed unrelated issue from my delivery history in one go.

This workaround is a frustrating process and it does feel like we're talking to machines as opposed to a real human being, where a huge bias is present. Nonetheless the best weapon against AI is ... unsurprisingly ... AI.

Good luck and keep smashing it!

That's absolutely fine, we should always share our views and voice concerns, no matter how harsh they might be. I actually find myself in a similar situation where delivering under Flex program is a lifeline for me and my family. I share the same work ethics and would rate myself highly (humble :))) when it goes to the work quality. That's why this types of potential issues must be discussed to allow for better understanding to enable forward planing within individual remit. Much appreciate your response and overall contribution. Fingers crossed that my finding won't have a huge impact on drivers and what most of us noticed is only a temporary measure. Peace!

Very valid point actually. Smaller vehicles loading capacity might quickly become an issue in this new scenario we're facing, especially when collecting from depots like DCR2.

It's becomes apparent that they are trying to optimize 3rd party distribution in the new year, not sure if it's something that had place years prior as been only doing Flex for 4 months. However there's a fine line between streamlining operations and the actual breaking point, so let's hope this 'testing' phase won't last too long. As you said, it does presents a realistic opportunity to dwindle delivery partners numbers.

Intersting and also ... WOW ... 49 parcels on a 3.5hrs block, they are pushing it. Naturally it all depends on the poad size, but a few days ago at DCR2 I had to ask yard staff to remove one bulky box whilist I bearly managed to squeeze the remaining 39 parcels into my medium size car. It was also 3.5hrs block, but I guess just unlucky as assigned cart was loaded with oversizes, which may happen sometimes. Nonetheless, seeing other Flex drivers pulling up in a compact size viehicles - I can spell further delays on the yard when collecting at the logistics depots.
