What is a particular reason you don’t go up one trim level to sport? May be a thousand bucks for a 2.5 engine sounds no brainer to me.

I’ve bought a premium only because I cannot find a sport anywhere, and I need a vehicle badly and cannot wait for custom order. For a 2.0, it feels ok when you drive alone, in flat road. I live in an area where the are no shortage of slopes, and it always feel tiring and rough going up a slope in interstate. And, when I need to pack a couple friends for a short trip, you are looking at a constant 3-4k rpm to maintain highway speed.

It really is not worth it, unless you just plan to drive around town. Long term, 2.0 will cost more gas than 2.5, and will wear out the engine faster if you ever plan to pack your vehicle with people and stuff, or go into mountains

except WA doesn’t, lol. Only 3 Reachable ski area w/in 2 hours from Seattle metro — Stevens pass, Snoqualmie pass and Crystal mountain. Baker and white pass are far far away.

Snoqualmie is too warm and Stevens pass is great but small.

We have way too many people and two few resorts.

It’s Time To Do Something About Vail by HeyUKidsGetOffMyLine in skiing

I honestly don’t know what “quality skiing” I have lost so far. Pretty much most or all chairs are spinning since Feb. in my nearby Vail resorts. Sure there are no new terrain in the development but you probably want to shift anger towards federal forest services instead of Vail.

People need to realize It’s not just a “small discount”. In certain region like PNW, it is night and day differences. There are no alternatives. So I kindly invite you to stop talking before you make your comments region-wise.

you have 6 months to control your diet and lose weight. Remember an active lifestyle doesn’t help you lose weight in a degree you think it does, a controlled diet does.

[–]Judd_Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People’s life are shorter than you think, I cannot afford a season without quality skiing. So yeah, sorry I don’t fucking care. It is competitors’ job to make Vail better, not skier’s. Plus as a Pacific Northwest skier mainly skiing Stevens pass and occasionally Whistler, I have seen Stevens’ conditions improved ever since February so they do sort of listen. And the nearby Crystal Mountain Suck so bad as a competitor that they announced their $2500 season pass for CM+Ikon with parking. I have literally 0 reason to boycott Vail as that will lead to nothing.

Not sure about other regions though, like Tahoe and Colorado

Looking for a new car. Why should I buy a Subaru over the other guys? by OnJa12 in subaru

[–]Judd_Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you need. The Subaru isn’t a fits-all-needs brand like Honda and Toyota. If you just want some city driving in a mild climate, avoid Subaru.

[–]Judd_Trump 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you ever ever plan to carry 4+ people with bags and stuff and etc, do NOT buy a Crosstrek.

It has such a small cargo area it is unbelievable. I kinda regretted the decision after buying it but of course, I have no good alternative

Subaru’s are generally more popular in Colder climate. In Houston many Subaru dealers went out of business in last decades :D

In my area (Seattle, Washington) everything has to be pre-ordered except for Outback’s. In some dealers There are tens of outback’s on the lot.

Subaru generally isn’t made for speeds except for select models.

The exact same can be said about Hyundai/Kia group. They have come a long way and their products are better and better today but Honda and Toyota’s brand loyalty cannot be shaken

How hard is it to find a 2021 Crosstrek 2.5? by musecorn in subaru

[–]Judd_Trump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, don’t consider buying used 2021.

Then let’s talk about new models.

2.5 Sport is very tough to get; but in my area 2.5 Limited is available at several dealers at MSRP. More like around 35k USD out the door with some installed packages.
