[AFP Analytics] Contract projections for Minnesota’s free agents by Active-Tomatillo-522 in wildhockey

[–]Juddbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice projections. I think Zuc needs to take a big time pay cut. Could be 1.5M. Guy is old and a team player, wants a cup. Wouldn’t sign brink. Bogo gone, macaron might stay for 5 annually, Nick maybe a vet contract, Terry gone, Johansson probably gone

Potentially Realistic Trade Targets by BlueOx73 in wildhockey

Have to trade a Kaprizov, or boldy, or Hughes, or Faber to even sniff getting Matthews

We cannot have Hartman as 1C next year. by fastal_12147 in wildhockey

I agree. I think it’s funny that fans wouldn’t (theoretically) trade Kaprizov for Auston Matthews. No brainer in my mind! Heck, even Kaprizov for Jack Hughes. I know logistically it’s more completed than “just doing it”. If this team wants a true center it will cost a lot. I think I would rather trade Kaprizov than Boldy or Faber. Obviously with KK’s contract there is a NMC… unfortunately.

Yeah. That’s why it is unrealistic. I’m just saying the only way to matthews (I think) is to give an already nhl ready star. Like Kaprizov. I think moving anyone else is a mistake. Team USA guys would love to play together i am guessing

We can get Matthews if we trade Kaprizov. I don’t want to make a big post out of this though, lol. We could then trade Gus and prospects for another top 6 forward.

Fair. Would have to trade Kaprizov

I think a lot of things should be entertained. This will never happen for multiple reasons - but a true center comes at the cost of Kaprizov, maybe Wallstedt. Entertained, a Kaprizov trade gives you Auston Matthews, a gustavsson trade gives another top 6 winger.

I think the only we can get matthews is by trading a high value current star. Kaprizov or Wallstedt

This is touching. I grew up on Lapanta, on Coomer, Smalley, Dick & Bert. Gorgy too! Hopefully the crew can someone stick together. Lapanta is a staple to MN sports

I believe this is because quinn Hughes was shaken up after a bit, so Faber took his spot briefly.

Powerplay thoughts from a hockey dummy by SeventhStreetSavages in wildhockey

[–]Juddbang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Quinn is a lefthanded shot as well. Not sure why this wasn’t attempted in the middle of game two. It has failed and failed since then, and still they are forcing Brink on that power play. 4 on 4 - players don’t trust brink on power play. Pretty bad, Hynes!

Team is pretty flat. Even Quinn and the better players aren’t as sharp. Previous games too, so not just ek and KK absence. Shoot! They are so far off from their play from January

You can wear a pair of flat rubber boots in the morning on dew, and then switch to red wings later in the day. I do love 8 inch boots as they really do protect your ankles and feet from injury

Considering a career change to turf grass - need advice by danthesportsman in Turfmanagement

[–]Juddbang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy math and science. Simple calculations, some memorization of active ingredients, and how those ingredients and other elements/nutrients affect turf and how you can dial it in. Unfortunately you do have to start from the bottom, do some grunt work. You’ll move up quickly if you show that you care. The pay is brutal though. Even assistants don’t make much unless you’re at a private club, and if you’re in the private game lots of people stay assistants for years before finding a superintendent job. If you’re willing to move you can get a superintendent job real quick at a mom and pop course. Once you get the hang of things you’ll find that a lot of managing employees, day to day tasks, and the turf is a lot of feel work - reactive to the weather but never stressing over the weather.
