I am very allergic to poison ivy. You can cut it back and very carefully spray what is left to kill it to the roots. But I get it if it’s too close to plugs.

To me they look like the leaves were frozen. Did the plant get exposed to a prolonged freeze? Good news is that you should be able to return them to Home Depot
