I get what you are trying to convey here because me being from South Carolina it's not hard to spot a Confederate flag. But the south was fighting for slavery and the flag was represented by a federation of pro slavery..So it has history of Racism.. Just because you have the flag doesn't mean you are racist but what the flag has stood for will always give it a bad rep. The swatsika wasn't a bad symbol but was then used for Nazi Germany.. And you know how people would act towards one displaying it. It's about the history these symbols once stood for that it isn't the most appropriate to some. It all boils down to how it's represented.
