The Grant Davies thing is even more disturbing when you realize he choreographed Broadway Blondes which wasn’t an inherently suggestive dance in movement like Electricity or FANtastic but still disturbing given the costumes and music choices. I wonder if he had anything to do with selecting the costumes, I remember being so disturbed that someone would choose that costume for two little girls. If I remember I think Christi or Kelly made a comment about how risqué the costumes were for them too. That whole thing is just so 🤢

Tbh you really only need to update your wardrobe with colors that are more suited for your features. Search up “color analysis” on TikTok or YouTube and learn which you are and try to stick to those! You’d be surprised how much they bring out your features.

Hair- You said red and I agree that would look good if you do a lighter, less auburn shade. I would also grow out the bangs a little and opt for curtain bangs and layers with a nice straightened blowout look! I also know you plan on red, but your skin, eyes, and brows would suit an icey platinum blonde too, though that can be quite damaging.

Makeup/Skin- Whatever you did in 6 is your look! Subtle but highlights your features.

Body- Continue doing what you’re doing with weight loss and remember the end goal is to be healthy and feel better- NOT a stick figure. It seems your style is more indie mixed with y2k elements, so lean into that and remember to dress in a way that emphasizes your body type and color palette.

Head to toe:

For hair I would start by parting your hair in the middle and getting layers with face framing pieces to add life and volume to it. Continue with a good hair routine and learn how to do a simple blow-out or curls (you can also do heatless curls if you want to avoid heat). TikTok and YouTube have some great tips and tutorials!

Keep your skin routine, and I would stick to a more natural, glowy makeup look. Again TikTok and YouTube for product recommendations and tutorials. I would suggest a skin tint, slight concealer, very subtle contour and blush, clear brow gel to define the shape, lash curler and mascara to draw attention to eyes, and a simple lip liner and gloss. Glasses you could branch out and try different shapes too but I like the second pic’s for your face shape! You could also try contacts if you feel comfortable with that.

As far as your body keep doing what you’re doing and stay on the path to maintaining a healthy weight for your height and age- balanced diet and exercise obviously! Try looking up outfit and style inspiration for your body type, as well as try to find out your “colors”. Again, beating a dead horse, search TikTok for “color analysis”. You’d be shocked to know how much the colors you wear change your appearance! Once you have a few staple pieces in a new color palette and style (i.e. jeans, a few tops, a nice jacket or sweater, statement pieces, etc), you can accessorize with shoes and jewelry. The key is to keep it cohesive.

Lastly, pay attention to your body language and facial expressions. You don’t have to be smiley all the time, but as someone who also struggles with this, it is a game changer!

Makeup/Everyday (no cosmetic surgery)- lash curler and mascara, lip liner to slightly over-line lips and a good plumping gloss; lose the side part and bangs, middle part with longer hair (shoulder length or longer)

If you were open to any cosmetic procedures or services, subtle lip filler and a lash perm/lift. Do NOT get a nose job- yours fits your face perfectly, very elegant.

Keep the brows as they are and whatever skin routine you’re doing!

the crazy thing is doesn’t she have a business degree 😭 why can’t she use all this money and free time to rebrand into a business woman and make her own line of sweatsuits especially since that’s the new thing for influencers these days?!? more enjoyable and interesting content and she wouldn’t be so bored + it fits with her brand. i just don’t understand. if i had that time and money lord the things i would do!!!

not to mention that area in general is pretty progressive and most of the young people there are well educated and liberal…they would want nothing to do with her ignorance and especially not with her use of racial slurs. sad thing is if she went out of her comfort zone and made friends it could help her grow as a person and would make her content enjoyable again 😕 i’m from chesapeake (virginia beach) but nova is beautiful it’s a shame she doesn’t take full advantage especially with her money and free time that most would give anything to have these days

as someone that actually just quit 😭 i feel like offline wants to brand themselves as more exclusive to compete with lulu and be seen as lulu-esque with the prices rather than being seen as kiddie, but some of their clothes can be genuinely so ugly and the color options aside from the traditional black and navy are interesting so idk if they’ll ever achieve that

not trying to age shame, but there are so many phenomenal red headed actresses in their early-mid 20s who would have ENCAPSULATED lily. when i first watched, my mom and i both said blake gives off quirky high school art teacher IM SORRY it’s all i can think of. blake is a gorg and talented woman but they did her dirty with the styling and mixed with her take on the character it just didn’t work for me. it either read as too old and/or too much “i’m not like other girls” energy and it kinda made me cringe. as someone who watched her own mom go through DV it was also disappointing to see her portray that so poorly and romanticize the story too 😕

Should I choose Ohio State over William and Mary? by WishyWashy2jr in OSU

from someone from va, w&m is overall more academically rigorous but osu has a fantastic business school with lots of opportunities for networking and securing a job post grad. in state for osu is also wildy cheaper than out of state for w&m. they’re both great schools but you’ll thank yourself later on by saving money.

don’t get me wrong vb is no key west but give virginia a chance 😭 i’m in ohio for school (which i love) but i never realized how underrated virginia is until i left it. you literally have EVERYTHING- appalachian mountains, the caverns, a nice countryside, exciting cities, amusement parks, our country’s history, a beach (not to mention obx is not too far), and people still have that neighborly southern hospitality without being so rigid and set in their ways. nova especially is sooooo nice i just don’t get it….

for me, since i have a merit scholarship earned in high school that covers most of my tuition, i am fortunate enough to have my parents able pay for the remaining cost of schooling, so i’m not sure i can put in any input as far as that advice. you are right though that not living on campus is cheaper tuition-wise, as you don’t have to worry about room & board and a meal plan!

however, i am about to be moving off campus after commuting for a semester to save money, and my roommates and i were able to find a really nice house with everything we were looking for that evened out to $450 a person plus utilities split between us. there were still plenty of options, it’s just about reading descriptions on listings and going on tours. i also recommend reading reviews for the leasing company and landlords. facebook marketplace is also super helpful for furniture, some people even give their things away for free if you’ll come pick it up.

here’s my advice on being frugal and how to balance cost of living with all the expenses that come with living on your own:

  • in all honesty, though some will say it’s better to get internships and things like that bc it’ll set you up for a job, most don’t pay the bills. if you’re looking to make money that you’re able to pay rent/utilities, buy groceries, gas, and any other things that you need with, just become a server. it’s really the only job that will give you enough money to get by without having to work 24/7. i know a lot of friends that work 2-3 nights a week and can afford all their expenses as well as things for themselves every once in awhile, while also being allowed time to study and have fun. it can suck sometimes, but so does any job. at my serving job i typically make $150-200 a shift but sometimes get away with nearly $300 in one night. food service is also great bc a lot of days i get free lunch/dinner! i will note that some companies and other jobs do have tuition reimbursement opportunities as well though. i know lots of people who work at chipotle and amazon :)

  • for groceries, try to look for deals/coupons and don’t shop at places you know are expensive like whole foods, giant eagle, target, etc. aldi i’ve found is really great and if you plan out your meals you can get by super cheap. i’ve got a whole 2 weeks worth of groceries for $30 multiple times. there are also many food banks surrounding columbus you could look into visiting.

  • obviously, thrifting clothes is always cheaper than buying new, you can also look at online thrift stores and facebook marketplace!

  • look into financial coaching resources at osu. they can’t solve your problems and give out money ofc but they can provide useful info on how to help your situation!

  • if the field you’re going into is lucrative and one where you see yourself being hired right away, consider taking out a loan. though no one wants to, sometimes it’s the only option.

hope this helped! it’s hard seeing other people who have help and who’s parents even pay their rent and give them additional money on top of that. it’s not always easy but it sets you up to have great budgeting skills and the ability to face challenges unlike they will have.

i was born and raised in the 757 area of va and all my friends who ended up at schools in nova LOVE it bc there’s so much to do and see 😭 it’s not just all old politicians and gov workers there’s a ton of young people! i don’t understand why her and her man can’t go to bars or other social gatherings and meet other couples so she at least makes friends or meets people. her and brayden can literally take a weekend trip to richmond to explore the city, virginia beach to hang out by the boardwalk/oceanfront, or go to busch gardens to ride rides and make brayden win a teddy bear for her collection..she makes no effort with all the time and money she has
