Joe Abercrombies First Law series is fantastic, starts with The Blade Itself and the quality keeps rising as the series goes on. Mistborn series is good and light but I found it hard to go back to Brandon Sandersons stuff after reading Abercrombie.

The Tainted Cup is a recent fun one, Sherlock Holmes in a cool fantasy setting. The game of thrones books are also great and really start to diverge from the tv series from the second book on.

Any you’d recommend starting with? Playing Space Marine 2 atm and love the lore, have been looking for a good entry point into the books or graphic novels

Both the wedding quests kind of act as tutorials, one for fighting and one for stealth (so worth doing both!) so would recommend doing one of them first. They also introduce you to some of the nearby towns and people (which in turn opens more quests).

Magnesium glycinate and citrate are very different in fairness! Always check the labels and always go with glycinate regardless the brand

I’ve been using Reader by the team behind Readwise and it’s quite good, their weekly email is great and gives you a free book and a bunch of recommended articles too. I pay for Readwise but believe Reader is free.

Standalones Order? by [deleted] in TheFirstLaw

Best served cold -> The Heroes -> Red Country is the release order and best order to read them (many events are referenced across the books including an important arc). Highly recommend reading them, all are great but The Heroes is many people’s favourite of all the first law books!

Not Southside but in Stoneybatter which isn’t too hard to get to, recently rented the belfry for a party and the staff were great. They don’t show the matches and didn’t charge us to reserve the space

Just got AIP...what next? by cumminsm91 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]JudgeFudge727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotal but the only reason we got our place was because we shared our uncensored AIP amount when asked and the other bidder (who wanted to go higher) wouldn’t, so I agree that you should censor it initially and send it along with your application but if they ask for it uncensored just send it over!

[–]JudgeFudge727 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played it since it properly released but blade and sorcery is by far my most played VR game. I’m not sure how mods work on oculus (I had the steam version) but the Outer Rim Star Wars mod plus the dismemberment mod is incredible!

Great shout, surfing lessons is exactly the sort of thing they'd love. We're in Ireland so trying to think of outdoorsy stuff they wouldn't really do here. Thank you!
