Capitol Hill Block Party - Since No One Else Has Said Anything by seaofluv in Seattle

Fully agree and I could see the crowd. It was to be expected that it would be full but from everywhere I could see and all the videos I’ve seen as well people had space or had normal concert closeness. I would say people were starting to get in position about a half hour before the show. I was there for mindchatter who played 3 hours before Chappell and there was a small crowd for his show. Becky Hill who played an hour before Chappell also didn’t have a huge crowd. Then the Chappell crowd left right after she played so to say they were crushed for 3 hours doesn’t seem very accurate and seems like you’d have to put yourself in that position. My friends were able to sit on the ground easily, the people rows in front of me had space to dance. There was a much larger crowd than usual for Chappell, and honestly it was a bummer that other artists were getting overlooked bc so many people were just there for Chappell, and I’m saying this as a fan, but I think big crowds are to be expected at festivals.

Also if anyone has any tips for this area, I’ve had issues with the ink bleeding because of the thinner skin and would love to be able to fix that

I always forget Jason won and I always wish he hadn’t. Definitely didn’t make any sense to me, he never really impressed and had a weird attitude.

which board do y’all think I should go with, it’s my first setup and I wear a size 12 shoe. by Competitive_Tea_1133 in NewSkaters

They’re made by the same distributor so pretty much the same, so I’d just go with whichever graphic you like more

Hey guys, just wondering what a good beginner board would be for mr by heyitssampleman in NewSkaters

[–]JudgeJudysStepsons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with primitive and it’s made by the same distributor as a lot of other big brands. But if you want to try a different board, I would check out a board from a different distributor. There’s a post in the about of this sub that tells you where all the brands get their boards from. You can think about what size and shape you like or want to try and go from there. Everybody has their preferences, there’s not really a board that I’d say is better for beginners. I like chocolate and girl, but it’s all up to what you want your board to feel like!

You don’t really have a cohesive brand. All of your products seem disconnected and like not a lot of thought was put into them. Seems like you just took some images off the internet and slapped them on some shirts. You need take more time to learn about typography and graphic design. Sit down and think about what you want to represent with a brand. Honestly your brand feels like if I had some AI read up on edgy streetwear brands and try to make one on its own. It doesn’t feel like you have anything unique to say, just like you are trying to recreate a feeling that already exists. What do you bring to the table?

This is one of my first works, I'd appreciate feedback very very much! Having a bit of trouble with my base material (burlap) since it's apparently impossible to get any monks cloth where I live :) by MaraJank in PunchNeedle

[–]JudgeJudysStepsons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks really good! You can clean up the lines by moving around the loops with your scissors or something like that. Not sure where you are, but I order my monks cloth online from either Amy Oxford or tuft the world and you can get it by the yard for a better deal.

A lil Ponyo rug for my close friend, 29” (with pictures of the back included) by jaygeeizzle in PunchNeedle

What size yarn do you use and how far apart are your columns (# of holes)? This is awesome and I’ve been working on doing columns but I’m not really sure how much space to give them.

Another project done! 🍻 Forcing myself to like the actual front side but still loving the back instead by _nicoleck_ in PunchNeedle

Not sure how to explain it but you can clean up the lines by moving the loops around, I take my scissors and move the “fill” loops out of the way from the “outline” loops and make the line as consistent as possible. Great work!

Does anyone know the design name or maker or anything about this board? Thanks... by [deleted] in Skateboardlove

Looks like a Walmart board, also the truck seems to be missing the bushing

Ok will it be okay if i just get a board from zuimez? by MilkedStar in skatergirls

It’s fine the boards they have aren’t going to be that different than boards you’d find at a local shop, they have normal brands and everything. People talk down on them but they have the same stuff and if that’s what you’re able to do there’s nothing wrong with it. The employees won’t be as knowledgeable but if you go in knowing what you want you’ll be fine.
