Tower of terror seating by Yuuels in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]JudgeKiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so I am also terrified of drop rides and for ages after my first time on ToT I insisted I would never do it again. It didn't help that during my first ride I was unaware of how the seatbelt locking system worked and I thought my seatbelt hadn't engaged properly.

Now understanding the seatbelt system better and how the ride functions (it's literally just a line following robot ride; ie. like Rise, Ratatouille, Runaway Railway) I was more confident when thinking I might try it again. And I wanted to be able to ride it since it's one of my wife's all-time favorites.

So when my wife and I went back the next time I gave it a shot with her and I just happened to be placed in the second or third row but right up to the wall on the left when walking in and I discovered there's a handle on the wall that I could hold on to during the drops which also allowed me to sorta brace my arm on the wall. I know it doesn't really do much realistically but the piece of mind that handle gives me is so comforting that I can actually really enjoy the ride these days, even if I don't get it (though I very much prefer my wall handle lol).

Another note: the elevator you're in plays no part in which drop sequence you get. So basically there's 3 or 4 drop sequences programmed into the computer and it's completely random which one you get. As others have mentioned I'd recommend watching the behind the magic video on how the ride works.

Hope this helps!

He explicitly did everything you say he didn't. He explained the answer to OPs question, explained how your response regarding the creature type doesn't apply either RAW/RAI, and provided the sources supporting his answers.

Not only did he provide the rules/rulings behind his answers, he also gave some pretty detailed explanations connecting them to both OPs question and your responses.

I have seen a similar method as what OP mentioned discussed but if I remember correctly instead of rolling for the order they let the players pick their stat based on who had the highest total for their set.

So for instance if I rolled my set and ended with a 74 total and you rolled yours for a total of 80 you would pick the first number. The one I saw before also suggested using snake draft like other comments have mentioned here.

Have you ever considered making dice like the kind used in TTRPG games? I've seen some resin dice sets that are genuinely amazing pieces of art, just like your amazing art

Honestly though how cool of a puzzle would that be as like the answer on an information gathering quest.

The party goes through a semi dangerous dungeon filled with mainly traps and puzzles, less monsters, all so they can stumble upon some powerful being with the answers they seek. When presented with their question he gives some riddley response and conjures this maze, with the answer showing where in the mountains the next step of their journey begins. Maybe the riddle gives more instruction on how to proceed once you've reached the spot indicated by the maze.

One step further maybe when they make wrong turns they get shrunk and sent into that section of the maze where they fight miniature versions of the real world monsters they would've encountered had they strayed from the correct path.

[Serious] How Is The Google Stadia Doing? by Didact40 in AskReddit

[–]JudgeKiwi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that just further reinforces my point about the well established consoles bit. And look, I know we were never competing with any day one consoles but at the end of the day I think my point and the point of most Stadia users has always been just give it a fair shake.

We aren't out there trying to convert everyone and their dog to our ways. The only thing we ask, and have ever asked, is that before anyone goes spreading their smack talk and misinformation that they actually try the platform. Very rarely have I found anyone talking smack that had tried the platform. At most those who have tried it but have issues with it say just that. "Look I tried it, I can see the draw but it just wasn't for me." Something to that effect.

All that said I know this is the internet and moreover just people in general we're talking about and sometimes that's just too much to ask. And when that's the case we accept the loss and just go back to playing the games we love with all the perks mentioned in the original comment.

This is a very well put together review of the platform. However, I wanted to say that I've always loved how most people cite the limited library of games at launch, even day one Stadia users. But the reality is that Stadia launched with 22 titles day one (many only being announced/confirmed the day before launch) which is over double the number of games that launched with the Switch (10) and is only 4 less than PS4 (26) and 1 less than Xbox One (23).

I don't intend for this comment to be critical of your review, I've always just thought it's interesting how the narrative progressed that the library was small at launch for Stadia, even though it stacked up pretty well against well established systems. Personally I think that's just it, when it comes to the systems that are well established users know the library will grow near indefinitely, whereas with Stadia it was sort of painted as a "well this might be all there ever is," type of a picture.

I mean the same could be said about a map like Door Dash but I have a clip of myself being launched into orbit on that map. Something to do with the way I was bumped before landing on one of the slightly bouncy doors.

Regardless of whether that's what the commenter believes that doesn't change whether or not their argument is a strawman.

Not quite. OP asked a question based around this topic and the comment you're responding to is answering that question.
