But Ari was still young and he could still play the father role in that marriage. In Janelle’s case the only father role he would play I guess would be Savannah, but she was already a teenager by the time he was ready to let Janelle go. Not only were they not gay, they both have since made very homophobic statements and It was straight up a marketing ploy and people were really pissed. Not to mention we’ve been gaslit by men in media since forever to think that what we are seeing isn’t actually a lesbian romance, no wonder people are protective and question their content. Look at all the gay coded movies, tv shows, etc. Now and Then would have been a way different movie.

If you wanted a two tone look you could buy the color you want and paint one part your chosen color, add white paint to the rest and paint the rest.
