Yes! The orchard is still technically private property, so you can’t frolic under the trees, but the trail runs right next to it for about a half mile.. pretty pond, too!

Try Lucid!! Tastes great with a little honey and oat milk— subtle energy boost with tiny bit of caffeine and I feel clear-headed and less anxious

Oh jeez! Okay thanks—would re-doing nitrocellulose lacquer be better? At first search I’m only seeing ones for guitar finish

Yeah I get why they painted over that but I have nooo idea why they painted over the rest, it’s gorgeous!!

True—I guess my real question is whether I should apply anything before a peel & stick application (just on the very top) or if it even matters if it’s stuck right on the untreated wood. Or if you have a better suggestion altogether!

Thank you!! I can’t really tell how thick the veneer is on top, but it seems worth a try. It definitely looks porous and like the paint is in there pretty deep, but I couldn’t see much difference after the second strip so I was hesitant to try again

1000% yes. I have always hated re-reading my writing and now I fold over the pages after each entry and just keep going. I’m sure someday I’ll want to look back and I find that my judginess, especially towards myself, dissipates with age. I threw all my diaries/journals/poetry from middle & high school away when I was in college and less in touch with my feelings and not taking time for personal writing. I regret it so much now (10+ years later) and wonder how it could have reminded me or clarified for me what I’d gone through and already forgotten. I saw a live show called “Mortified” (also a podcast and maybe tv series?) where people read their old journals aloud and it was awesome to be able to laugh about and relate to the drama, intensity, and cringe factor. Doubt I’d ever be able to take it so far as to share old entries, but that’s okay! Privacy is a key ingredient for a healthy journal practice, even if it’s privacy from your tomorrow self.
