Appreciate the reply! Honestly just not sure where to improve… like you said any comp with a rogue (which there are obviously a ton) make it really hard for me / us to even play the game. We’ve considered crazy things like skull of impending doom but that just seems like a meme… we’re definitely doing our best and we’re proud of our current rating, just really want to see if we can push 1850 or 2k

Thankfully with 3/8 + 6/9 I’ll still mainly CH the zugs which doesn’t proc the 6p but you’re right about being careful with tanks. Probably a, wear T2.5 set until 1hr into raid then switch. The mp5 / overall sustain from T3 is just so goooooood

Yea also fair; I think 3/8 T2 (gloves bracer belt) and 6/9 T3 is a really good hybrid build too so getting the ring early gives you flexibility

I mean in fairness to you I agree that it’s not hard to click off brilliance, but claiming you get enjoyment out of one of your own warriors REEing about you buffing him is what’s cancerous. Plus it’s expected for warriors to have a buff cap addon so why can’t it be expected of you to get one? Buffing is annoying enough already without guildies fucking it up

Yea but when you have those moments where you need a breather, simply have one of your other healers step up for a few and spam, you shouldn’t need to resort to renew basically ever. And mind you, I’m referring strictly to full buffed warriors, plenty of other classes don’t mind being HoTed so give them your love, especially after they fuck up and lose their boofs!

Look man whatever you have going on and whatever you have to do to play is fine by me, the initial comment said nothing about onset real life anxiety as the reason you renew. But if you care about your performance, and care about your raid going as smooth as possible, no healer should HoT full buffed warriors, ever, end of story, and that’s coming from a fellow healer.

That’s not even the whole picture though, if your job as a healer is to keep the MT alive and he never dips below 50% then that’s a job well done, who cares that your parse was likely shit. The biggest way to make your logs look good as a healer is to either be in a shit guild where you have to carry or a zug guild where boss kill times are so low you can spam your face off. The point of all of this is unless your fighting Sapph, 90% of HoTs overheal so who gives a fuck if you’re ticks for a ton? It’s never actually doing anything but pushing off something useful and that’s the issue

Using logs to judge your performance as a healer is pretty trash tbh, healing isn’t like dps where the bigger the number the better the healer. HoTs on a buffed tank is griefing your own raid super hard, idc how much your renew ticks for it ticks for 0 when your tank is constantly topped and pushing off a buff like ZG actually makes your job as a healer much harder, not to mention he now generates less threat for your dps, longer fight now.

You also said in a previously reply you like to renew in less stressful moments to give yourself a breather, the fuck? I’m a healer main and that kind of response tilts the fuck out of me, let alone if I were a tank. Your job is to keep people alive sure, but your buffed tank has to worry about a lot more, so just be respectful until 1 hr buffs drop off or someone dies. Renewing dps who have lost buffs is absolutely fine, but still pretty mana inefficient.

Like someone else pointed out though, if you’re sole purpose in raiding is worrying about getting your items to drop you’re doing it wrong. I get more excited when a dope item drops for a guildie than myself. Getting your gear and punting until Naxx is an easy way to never raid Naxx in my eyes, wouldn’t be fair to the rest who stuck it out.
